Agenda
- Operations
- Run 63 (G132, Ge iZIP "pathfinder") in progress.
- On second attempt to cool to 77K, throughput OK, no blockage
- More detail on phonon channel -to- chassis shorts (two Side 2 channels have bad shorts, others are fairly isolated)
- Excellent base temperature, about 28 mK
- 3 phonon channels not working, one of which was “touchy” at room temp and seems to be open, another is one of the badly shorted ones. The other badly shorted one works but looks like it has problems
- Event rate high (Am and Pb internal sources), 148 Hz, and pulse tails long, τ≈1 ms - bad combination. Shield should reduce rate to 83 Hz.
- Future 6“ run (1”-thick 5Q device). Detector now at UMN, needs to be wirebonded
- Continued K100 support through both Project and Operations - assume no SNOLAB upgrade
- exploring ideas for improvements without upgrade: float DCRCs for symmetric biasing Proposed Scheme, decrease Rshunt in SQUETs
- Processing and Analysis
- Run 62 (HV#4, Si)
- Phonon collection efficiency: latest data taken at 10, 20, 30, 70, 100 V, still need to analyze
- n,gamma coincidence, first plots
- Run 61, HV#2 (Ge):
- Run 56/Run 54
- Physics
- low-energy Comptons and n,gamma calibrations with external triggering
- Old/continuing items:
- Run 62 (HV#4, Si) post-mortem: two “bad” channels seem not to be wiring problems, maybe the problem is on the detector (photos)
- Run 60, 6“ detector paper - Plan to edit and publish without 5Q data
- Lab infrastructure
- DAQ and data pipe
- DAQ upgrade - discussed with Bruno about IbIs tool development
- Data storage and backup:
- Need to copy all Run 60 and some Run 61 data to SLAC
- Autoprocessing and data organization development:
- currently autoprocessing suspended, no “official” processing for Runs 60, 61, 62
- clean up database - some info missing. Consider adding additional info
- Possible plan to modify DCRCs (resistor swap) so we can increase front-end gain, improve IbIs (suggestion from Bruno)
- IF (not likely) new DCRC RevC.2 arriving from Bruce in Denver then
- missing resistors on 3 QET channels, we've ordered some
