Agenda

  • Operations
    • Run 63 (G132, Ge iZIP "pathfinder") in progress…
      • First attempt to cool to 77K - fridge blockage. Warm up again to get rid of it.
      • Phonon channel -to- chassis shorts: ~100 Ω at 300K. While cooling to 77K: Side 1 shorts disappear, Side 2 shorts still present, most ~1 MΩ but two are still ~100 Ω
      • At 77K, continuity checks through charge bias resistors fail, they appear open. At 300K they read normally. This check is through the crystal… are charge channels much more electrically isolated on this detector??
      • Leak into IVC at top of stripline tube present as in last run. Some evidence of a leak into IVC at some point in the cryostat that showed up only when cold - but not certain, could just be the leak at the top.
    • Future 6“ run (1”-thick 5Q device). Detector now at UMN, needs to be wirebonded
    • Continued K100 support through both Project and Operations - assume no SNOLAB upgrade
      • exploring ideas for improvements without upgrade: float DCRCs for symmetric biasing Proposed Scheme, decrease Rshunt in SQUETs
  • Processing and Analysis
  • Physics
    • low-energy Comptons and n,gamma calibrations with external triggering
  • Old/continuing items:
    • Run 62 (HV#4, Si) post-mortem: two “bad” channels seem not to be wiring problems, maybe the problem is on the detector (photos)
    • Run 60, 6“ detector paper - Plan to edit and publish without 5Q data
    • Lab infrastructure
    • DAQ and data pipe
      • DAQ upgrade - discussed with Bruno about IbIs tool development
      • Data storage and backup:
        • Need to copy all Run 60 and some Run 61 data to SLAC
      • Autoprocessing and data organization development:
        • currently autoprocessing suspended, no “official” processing for Runs 60, 61, 62
        • clean up database - some info missing. Consider adding additional info
    • Possible plan to modify DCRCs (resistor swap) so we can increase front-end gain, improve IbIs (suggestion from Bruno)
    • IF (not likely) new DCRC RevC.2 arriving from Bruce in Denver then
      • missing resistors on 3 QET channels, we've ordered some
