Agenda

  • Operations:
    • Run 60, 6“ detector test, now finished
    • Run 61, first HV prototype test, in preparation
      • HV#2 (G101c) arrived Monday, some problems:
        • one broken bond
        • wiring not what we asked for, would require rerouting for HV
        • no LEDs on the DIBs
      • solutions:
      • Other preparations:
        • Fridge cans completely disassembled, taking opportunity to clean thermal contact surfaces and tighten MC bolts some more
        • Need to set up processing for 12-phonon-no-charge, 6-phonon-no-charge
        • DAQ upgrade planned
        • CAEN HV supply (from Soudan vetoshield) - progress on setting this up, hoping for automated HV control
  • DAQ and data pipe
    • Data storage and backup:
      • Need to copy Run 60 data to SLAC
      • Need to clean up vuk1/vuk2 before they are retired. Spoke with Angie, she said she can copy what she needs
    • Autoprocessing and data organization development:
      • should work on implementing smart processing so that data with different configurations can be processed automatically
      • should add more info to database, particularly since outside analysis manpower (TAMU, Noah) will be joining our analysis crew
      • does it make sense for outside manpower to help with this stuff?
  • Processing and Analysis
    • Run 60, 6” detector, analysis
      • Mysterious bimodal behavior in OF amplitudes, related to mysterious glitches in raw pulses (also bimodal)
      • Considering other pulsefitting methods
      • should also investigate glitches further, seem to be in the DCRC firmware
      • Then need to proceed with seagull studies, hold time studies etc.
    • need to get back to work on NSOF, should test whether resolution is improved with new filtering
    • Then work on reprocessing old data
  • Physics
    • Low-energy NR peaks from neutron capture in Ge
      • have done some tests with the 1 Ci PuBe source in lab, looking for capture gammas with NaI and HPGe
