Run 74 prep. Need to deinstall tower because it failed its electrical checkout on Friday.
Matt enters the lab
Attach tower stand to ring and tower, support with threaded rods. Then remove screws from adapter/30mK can and continue tower deinstallation.
Complete tower removal, bring tower into clean room.
Remove adapter ring, then remove side coax from DIB1
Do electrical check on DIB1, no problems found. Neither channel is shorted and continuity seems fine.
Also check side coax ST-3-3. No problems seen.
Reattach side coax.
Completed tower electric check. Results are consistent with those from January 13th
Reassemble tower. Double check connections.
Due to failure of communication, Ruiren removed all the kapton tape from the tower thermometer connector and the fridge wire connector, rather than just the piece necessary to unplug it. I noticed that one thermometer wire came loose from the connector. Resoldered it, then used Kapton tape to cover the wires leading up to the connector, taping it to the connector.
Begin installing tower again
After attaching the tower to the 30mK can and removing the tower stand, did another electrical check at the tower. All looks good - all 5 electrodes show continuity and no shorts seen, both motor coils still read 700ish kOhm.
Finish torquing 30mk can screws, connect thermometer connector to fridge wiring (after applying new Kapton tape to the fridge plug), checked the thermometer at the LakeShore bridge - looks good - then taped the thermometer wire down around the 30mK can.
Matt exits lab
