Previous Day

Status: pumped out IVC overnight. One cryocleaning done, mixture exposed to cold LN2 Trap 1 overnight. 1K Pot evacuated and isolated. Cryostat vacuum jacket pumped out.
0925 Turbo (on IVC) = 25 nbar, IVC = 460 nbar with pump valved out.
0935 warm LN2 Trap 2 = 8.1 mbar. Pump out with scroll pump.
0945 Pump mixture out of cold LN2 Trap 1 to dump
1005 Begin cryocleaning mixture through cold LN2 Trap 2, V6 = 12.8%
1005 Attach Leak Detector to IVC. Background settles at 22 pbarL/s
1010 Pump out main bath with scroll pump
1020 Increase V6 → 12.9% to reestablish flow
1020 Pressurize Main Bath with helium gas to 345 mbar above 1 atm on G3. LD signal increases to 65 pbarL/s. Worse than last time, oh well guess we'll see how it goes at 77K.
1025 Increase V6 → 13.0% to reestablish flow
1030 Pump out 1K Pot with scroll pump
1035 Let 5.4 mbar He exchange gas into IVC
1045 Begin LN2 transfer
1045 MC(Cernox) = 291.5 K, Sorb = >249 K (max), IVC = 5.4 mbar, Level resistor = 1.005 kΩ.
1050 MC(Cernox) = 290.7 K, Sorb = >249 K (max), IVC = 5.4 mbar, Level resistor = 1.054 kΩ.
1055 Open Condenser valve. This exposes the fridge vacuum to the LHe cold trap, so it may help freeze out any air that's in the fridge volume. (unlike recent runs we are not leaving the mixture in the fridge during the LN2 transfer.)
1105 MC(Cernox) = 279.3 K, Sorb = >249 K (max), IVC = 4.6 mbar, Level resistor = 1.107 kΩ.
1115 Stop cryocleaning mixture, pump mixture back to dump
1130 MC(Cernox) = 232.9 K, Sorb = >249 K (max), IVC = 3.0 mbar, Level resistor = 1.226 kΩ.
1130 warm LN2 Trap 1 = 7.5 mbar. This is the one that the mixture was exposed to overnight. Pump out with scroll pump.
1145 MC(Cernox) = 197.7 K, Sorb = >249 K (max), IVC = 2.5 mbar, Level resistor = 1.292 kΩ.
1205 MC(Cernox) = 164.3 K, Sorb = 201.3 K, IVC = 2.2 mbar, Level resistor = 1.322 kΩ.
1205 Begin cryocleaning mixture through cold LN2 Trap 1, V6 = 12.7%
1215 Increase V6 → 13.0% to reestablish flow
1220 MC(Cernox) = 146.1 K, Sorb = 167.5 K, IVC = 2.2 mbar, Level resistor = 1.335 kΩ.
1225 Increase V6 → 13.1% to speed up flow
1240 MC(Cernox) = 130.5 K, Sorb = 142.0 K, IVC = 1.9 mbar, Level resistor = 1.337 kΩ.
1300 MC(Cernox) = 117.9 K, Sorb = 128.3 K, IVC = 1.9 mbar, Level resistor = 1.339 kΩ.
1315 MC(Cernox) = 109.8 K, Sorb = 123.7 K, IVC = 1.9 mbar, Level resistor = 1.339 kΩ.
1315 Stop cryocleaning mixture, pump mixture back to dump
1330 MC(Cernox) = 104.1 K, Sorb = 121.3 K, IVC = 1.9 mbar, Level resistor = 1.340 kΩ.
Stop LN2 transfer
1335 warm LN2 Trap 2 = 8.9 mbar. Pump out with scroll pump.
1405 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
1405 MC(Cernox) = 93.9 K, Sorb = 119.4 K, IVC = 1.9 mbar
1420 Begin cryocleaning mixture through cold LN2 Trap 2, V6 = 13.1%
1430 Increase V6 → 13.3% to reestablish flow
1505 MC(Cernox) = 84.1 K, Sorb = 118.6 K, IVC = 1.9 mbar
1505 Increase V6 → 13.4% to reestablish flow
1530 Stop cryocleaning mixture, pump mixture back to dump
1530 MC(Cernox) = 82.1 K, Sorb = 118.5 K, IVC = 1.9 mbar
1535 Electrical check on DIBs 1&2. Both look A-OK.
1545 warm LN2 Trap 1 = 6.6 mbar. Pump out with scroll pump.
1600 Open mixture to cold LN2 Trap 1 (v9 and v13a open, 3He pump off). Will leave it overnight.
1545 warm LN2 Trap 2 = 4.8 mbar. Pump out with scroll pump.
