Previous Day

Status: clean tent is up, ready for deinstall. IVC is filled to near 1 bar with N2 but should be topped off a bit. All mixture in dump. MB vacuum jacket has been pumped out.
0935 Remove Cf source from on top of G101c in clean room and return source to safe
1030 Over-pressurize the IVC with N2 gas. Open IVC and being unistallation.
1100 Open IVC, remove 4K stage
1335 Put G101c in bag and remove from clean room.
1350 Remove 150mm tower. Before removing 150mm tower, undo the stripline buckle attached to the bottom of the 4K can. Without doing this, the wider detector cannot pass out of the 4K can.
1400 Remove G101c from bag in bonder lab, exposed in unclean environment for 35 minutes
1430 Remove 30mK can, then 4K can, and finally 100mK can. Place both 30mK can and 100mK can in anteroom.
1435 Rebonded the broken bond, Side1 DIB4 pBreturn → TES1. It looked like it may be touching another bond wire, but initial resistor checks are all around 100 Ω or so
Wirebonder settings: Bond 1/2 Power = 480/480, Bond Times = 40/30, loop height = 50 mils, drop before clamp = 26 mils
1500 G101c in clean room for inspection

Resistance checks after wirebonding, compare with Monday:

  • DIB1 pA (pin2) seems to have broken, damn
  • DIB4 pB = 128.0 Ω, c/w Matt Cherry measurement at SLAC = 125.8 Ω, seems to be fixed
  • DIB4 pin3 to pin1,2,4 are between 125 and 136 Ω, so no obvious shorts
  • all other measurements very close or 2-3 Ω higher than Monday readings
1525 Return G101c to purge cabinet
Views of repaired bond, Pin 3 on Side1 DIB4. Note that it is angled differently from the others.
Broken bond on Side1 DIB1 pin2, bond has come loose on detector side.
1605 Before removing top of IVC, remove protector boards and buckle from striplines so that they can pass through the small flange on the bottom of the upper-4K stage. While doing this, realize that we did not remove the cold-end diverter boards from the striplines, so they're dirty now. Before we replace them, we'll have to wash them down w/ alcohol. Also remove top stripline buckle.
1649 Remove top of IVC, and copper can covering the mixing chamber (place this can in anteroom with screws). Use kapton tape to secure striplines to their tube and bag up ends on striplines.
1745 Place Cf source inside purge cabinet for overnight activation of G101c.
