SiHV quality cuts
TCut cofint = "PTINTall<250*PTOFamps&&PTINTall>(250*PTOFamps-0.001)" TCut ctail = "zip1.PFbspost-zip1.PFbs<-14" TCut crand = "EventCategory"
First cut is a consistency cut between the integral amplitude and OF amplitude. Removes a lot of after-triggered events and pileup.
Second cut is a version of a tail-removing cut.
SiHV Calibration
Below is an example of code to calibrate SiHV data using the 14- and 18-keV Am lines (quadratic calibration constrained to 0,0). The fit ranges may need to be adjusted by hand.
// calibrate PTOFamps to keV
float peak14g, peak18g
TH1F* hs = new TH1F("hs","hs",300,0,15e-6)
z->Draw("PTOFamps>>hs",!crand+cofint+!ctail);
hs->Fit("gaus","","",3.9e-6,4.3e-6);
peak14g=hs->GetFunction("gaus")->GetParameter(1);
hs->Fit("gaus","","",4.9e-6,5.3e-6);
peak18g=hs->GetFunction("gaus")->GetParameter(1);
float line14 = 13.95; float line18 = 17.74;
float pquadg, pling
pquadg = (peak18g*line14-peak14g*line18)/(peak18g*peak14g**2-peak14g*peak18g**2)
pling = (peak14g**2*line18-peak18g**2*line14)/(peak18g*peak14g**2-peak14g*peak18g**2)
z->SetAlias("PTOFkeV",Form("%e*PTOFamps+%e*PTOFamps**2",pling,pquadg));
z->SetAlias("PTOFkeV0",Form("%e*PTOFamps0+%e*PTOFamps0**2",pling,pquadg));
NaI Quality Cuts
In the first set of PuBe ON data (before 07180816_0954) the NaI signal was too large and often ADC saturated. Although much of the first round of processing did not have the phonon saturation RQ set up correctly, subsequent rounds should and this cut should work universally.
TCut cNaIBsat = "!NaI.PBsat" TCut cNaICsat = "!NaI.PAsat"
The WKmax quantity is currently used as NaI signal energy quantity. The WK algorithm only works within a certain time window.
TCut cNaITimeB = "NaI.PBWKr50>25e-6 && NaI.PBWKr50<285e-6" TCut cNaITimeC = "NaI.PAWKr50>25e-6 && NaI.PAWKr50<285e-6"
NaI Calibration
On 08/16, x10 attenuators were added to the NaI signal lines to prevent high energy events from ADC saturating. For series after 07180816_0954, the rough calibration is:
z->SetAlias("NaIB_MeV_exp","0.820382*(exp(5.53655e+06*NaI.PBWKmax)-1.0)")
z->SetAlias("NaIC_MeV_exp","0.407276*(exp(7.06e+06*NaI.PAWKmax)-1.0)")
