Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Zach, Himangshu
  • Remote: Himangshu
Status Run 77 in progress
Setup Cable 2/1/3 → diverter/nothing/nothing → DCRC50(3)/DCRC55(1)/DCRCX(4)
0940 Start MIDAS. DCRCs are setup for 2-sided 0-volt readout.
0942 Turned on DCRC1 and the DAQ programs.
0949 Turned on Pulse Viewer. Can see noise traces on PA, PB, PC and PD on DCRC1. We haven't set the SQUIDS or QET biases at this time.
0958 Turned on DCRC3 and the DAQ programs. Need to restart the towerfe and triggerfe programs multiple times to turned them on simultaneously . All channels seems to be railing.
1007 Turned on DCRC4 and the DAQ programs. Need to restart the towerfe and triggerfe programs multiple times to turned them on simultaneously . PA and PC shows noise traces but PB and PD seems to be railing. Note: PD was not showing high resistance at BOB as well
1145 Tower(RoX)/Tower(U28)/MC(H35)/Coldplate = 70.0/55.0/59.4/172.9 mK, Still(P1) = 1.29 K / 0.13 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2 = 144.4/142.5 mbar, 1K Pot(P2) = 35° / 1.62 K / 22 mbar, MB = 68.3%
1159 Tower(RoX)/Tower(U28)/MC(H35)/Coldplate = 70.0/60.1/55.3/172.9 mK, Still(P1) = 1.28 K / 0.13 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2 = 143.9/142.5 mbar, 1K Pot(P2) = 35° / 1.62 K / 20 mbar, MB = 67.9%
1306 Seeing large spikes in MC temp, up to 200mK earlier, seems we will have to do the same 10K pumpouts as last run
1308 Fill LN2 cold trap dewar from the 25L bomb dewar (via the 5L dewar), the bomb dewar is empty now.
1447 Switching to Tower thermometers to see if unplugging the DCRCs have any effect on the temperature. Tower(U28) = 64.2 mK
1458 A few min after unplugging the dcrcs, Tower(U28) = 54.2 mK (note that we are on the falling side of the temperature spikes
1459 temp bumped up a small amount (1mK) after plugging in dcrc3, not much change after plugging in dcrc1 and 4
1504 Seeing a rise (few mK) forming a bit after running dcrc3
1506 DCRC3 all channels seems flat and DCRC4 channel PB and PD seems flat. Doing an electrical check at the BOB to investigate this further
