Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Zach, Himangshu, Ping
Status Run 77 in progress
Setup Cable 2/1/3 → diverter/nothing/nothing → DCRC50(3)/DCRC55(1)/DCRCX(4)
1050 Fill LN2 cold trap dewar
1118 Switched the DCRCs to Run 76 order Cable 2/1/3 → diverter/nothing/nothing → DCRC 1/3/4
1135 DCRC1 on Cable 2. PA and PD not responding to Signal Generator/ show any traces. Changed SQUID bias/QET bias and lockpoint.
1140 DCRC3 on Cable 1. No channels responding.
1145 DCRC4 on Cable 3. o channels responding.
Begin another warm up and pump out
1151 Close V6 to stop circulation.
1156 V6 is now fully closed (light is off on IGH, Still pressure is rising, Condenser pressure falling). Turn off 3He pump
1158 Close IVC valves on top of the fridge, I do this so that when we are at 10K we can check the contents of the IVC.
1200 Close 1K Pot needle valve
1200 Open V3 to let mixture from Condenser side into Still side.
1205 MC = 0.43 K
1206 Turn off DAQ programs and unplug DCRCs 1&3
1208 Turn on Still and MC heaters to 20 mW each
1210 Close 1K Pot speedivalve, V4a, 4He pump inlet valve. Turn off 4He pump. Close recovery valve to 4He pump outlet. NOTE: remember to open recovery valve when the pump is turned back on.
1230 MC(H35)/1KPot = 3.90/3.86 K
1230 G1(fridge) = 780 mbar. Open V9 to release mixture into dump
1243 MC temp starts to rise more quickly
1245 MC(H35)/1KPot = 4.78/4.33. Temperatures are relatively flat now.
1250 Check pressure in IVC: 0.54 ubar.
1325 Run the leak checked on the IVC, leak checker base = 0.2 pbar*L/s, leak checker on IVC peaked at 6.3 ubar*L/s
1328 Pump out IVC with the turbo pump, mc temp starts to rise again
1607 MC = 10.0 K. Turn off MC and Still heaters
