Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Zach
Status Run 76 in progress
Setup Cables 2/3/1 → diverter/nothing/nothing → Side2-readout HV CONN 1/3/2 → HV 1(L)/2(R) → DCRC50(3)/DCRC55(1), DCRC33(2)→HV control, NaI trigger signal → DCRCX(4)
Lead/poly shield fully assembled. Boron-filled socks covering NaI detectors.
PuBe source behind lead wall.
NaI trigger window -t10760 -T15760 (7.6-11.2 MeV)
1450 MC/Coldplate = 29.2/153 mK, Still = 1.09 K / 0.110 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2 = 129/137 mbar, 1K Pot = 60° / 1.55 K / 8.5±0.5 mbar, MB = 35.5%
1455 Power-cycle DCRC1. Yesterday MIDAS kept crashing every time you tried to start a series if DCRC1 was enabled.
1503 Begin LHe transfer @ MB = 34.7%
1512 Took LN2 dewar to be filled
1520 Successfully restart DAQ programs and start a MIDAS run to look at pulses, with all DCRCs enabled.
1525 Check phonon channels. Adjust DCRC3pA offset to 0.55. This was the stable value a couple weeks ago, but yesterday I had to readjust it, SQUID had locked at a different phase.
All channels are at there default offsets from a couple weeks ago, that's encouraging.
1544 Ended LHe transfer @ MB = 90.9 %
1630 Brought back LN2 dewar, filled LN2 cold trap dewar, set up purge.
As it turns out the dewar still had enough liquid LN2, but the pressure was too low, so I only filled it an extra 197.5 lbs (110.7 L).
1855 DAQ crashed a half hour ago I guess, Tower_fe stopped. It restarted and I was able to start a run so that's good, but it's a little worrisome.
1900 Pulses look fine
1904 Start 0 V PuBe data series 45 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, 5 Hz in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC3pD threshold 10.
Start series with the Start Button.
1905 MC = 28.7 mK
1954 Dial HV up to -227.1 V using RootSequencer for prebias. Set it to rise about 5 V/s with 0.25 second steps.
Some elevated baselines and some weak-looking pulses but no jagged noise, so probably we don't have high leakage.
2000 After 5 minutes dial HV down to -197.3 V
Hmm baselines are still elevated and some pulses look weak. Well whatever.
We'll start with some Si-triggered data for 5 or 10 minutes then switch to NaI-triggered
2005 Start -197.3 V PuBe data series 6 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, 5 Hz in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC3pD threshold 10 (Si-triggered).
Start series with the Start Button.
oops, actually I had the NaI trigger on too. Doesn't really matter, that's only 0.7 Hz.
2005 MC = 28.8 mK
2012 Start -197.3 V PuBe data series 90 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, 5 Hz in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC4pA threshold 10 (NaI-triggered).
Start series with the Start Button.
2140 MC = 28.9 mK
2043 Start -197.3 V PuBe data series 6 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, 5 Hz in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC3pD threshold 10 (Si-triggered).
Start series with the Start Button.
2151 Start -197.3 V PuBe data series 11h52m (708 dumps) long, with 1000 initial randoms, 5 Hz in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC4pA threshold 10 (NaI-triggered).
Start series with the Start Button.
