Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Zach, Michael
Status Run 75 in progress
Setup Tower Faces 5/3/2 → Cables 2/1/3 → nothing/diverter_board+extra_board/nothing → Side2-readout HVboard CONN1/2/3 → HV1/2 → DCRC55(1)/50(3)
Lead shield in place. Am Source y = 0.03 mm
Testing Side2-readout HV board
0700 Goldman = 40.4 mK. It's been a bit elevated since yesterday's transfer.
With the current setup, when I did the hot-Al-flash after the move, the temperature didn't go as high: 1.24 rather 1.28 K. And noise width wasn't as good, which may be due to some channels still having trapped flux. Let's do another hotter flash.
0700 Turn on DCRC1 LEDs with rep rate reduced from 5000 to 500400. Turn off LEDs after 3 minutes. Goldman peaked at 1.36 K.
1055 Goldman = 40.8 mK
1055 Set all QET biases to target dP/dI=1uV and adjust driver offsets so baselines ~ -0.9 V.
1056 Ramp HV up to 112.8V using RootSequencer for prebias
1101 After 5 minutes ramp HV down to 98.28 V
1105 Channels are showing breakdown noise - huh.
1105 Dial HV down to 0.0 V using RootSequencer
1107 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
1114 Goldman/Tower/MC(H35)/Coldplate = 40.1/77.7/33.2/181 mK, Still = 1.34 K / 0.110 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2= 220.6/254.4 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.59 K / 11±1 mbar, MB = 69.6%
1230 Zap SQUIDs
1430 Goldman = 40.2 mK
1430 Ramp HV up to 113.0V using RootSequencer for prebias
Choppy noise evident in DCRC1pA&pB
1436 After 5 minutes ramp HV down to 98.36 V
Still seeing choppy noise. Guess I'll try some data anyway.
1439 Start 98.36 V data series after 5 min 15% prebias, 44 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, no in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC3pB threshold 20.
Start series with the Start Button.
Bias varied during run between 98.35 - 98.58 V
By the end of the run the choppy noise seems to have disappeared.
1525 Dial HV down to 0.0 V using RootSequencer
