Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Matt
Status Run 75 in progress
Setup Tower Faces 5/3/2 → Cables 2/1/3 → nothing/diverter_board/nothing → DCRC55(1)/DCRC50(3)/DCRCx(4)
Lead shield in place. Am Source y = 0.03 mm
1250 Goldman/Tower/MC(H35)/Coldplate = 41.1/71.8/33.6/178 mK, Still = 1.37 K / 0.110 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2= 264/232 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.59 K / 11±1 mbar, MB = 32.3%.
1320 Pump out vacuum jacket of the transfer line. The transfer line was getting kinda cold at the beginning of a transfer, though it was ok later after the air froze out. I borrowed a pumpout connector from Mike Rother, attached to the pump manifold, isolated the IVC and turbo, hooked up the Scroll pump and attached the connector to the pumpout port on the transfer line. After pumping out the hose I pulled out the port plug to check the pressure: 340 μbar. Pumped it down to 10 μbar (pumping pressure - final pressure probably a little higher). Pushed the plug back in, then let air into the hose before disengaging the connector, to make sure I didn't pull it back out.
1345 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
1442 Begin LHe transfer @ MB = 27.8% (not sure actually, reset it after transfer started and forgot to note the value)
Transfer line doesn't seem to get frosty so I guess the pumpout worked.
1517 End LHe transfer @ MB = 92.9%
