| Status | Run 74 in progress. Warmed up after 3rd appearance of IVC leak at 4K. Cryostat Vacuum Jacket pumped out. Beginning reassembly of IVC. |
| | Stripline tube is installed up to just below fridge flange. Plan to examine the top end and buff out scratches in situ if necessary |
| 1230 | Matt enters lab |
| 1245 | Clean grease off of top of stripline tube and inspect for scratches. Some scratches evident.
|
| 1320 | Polish top few inches of stripline tube in situ with Scotch Brite and 1500-grade paper. I think it's helping a little.
 |
| 1350 | Finish polishing top of stripline tube. Clean with methanol, then coat with thin layer of vacuum grease. Then push it up through both the fridge port o-ring and the stripline elbow o-ring. |
| 1435 | Put indium o-rings on upper IVC section. 1.5 mm on the fridge flange, 1.0 mm on the stripline port flange. No grease on the indium. Feed striplines through IVC port then raise up the upper IVC section (two people) and put two bolts in top flange enough to hold it up. Then snug up the bolts flange, then tighten them two rounds. Then start tightening the bolts in for the stripline port. (Washers on top bolts, no washers on stripline tube bolts.) |
| 1510 | Tighten bolts at top of IVC top section fully - maybe will do more tomorrow. Also tighten the stripline tube bolts pretty tight. |
| 1515 | Matt and Scott exit lab |
