Previous Day

Setup:
DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters 2/3/1 → cable 3/1/2 → gender changer 3/?/2 → HVConn 1/3/2 → HV 1/2 → DCRC55(1)/DCRC50(3)

1.1kV → NaI B/C → Ortec 452(gain=5, shaping = 6 us, output=10V) / Ortec 575A(gain=10, shaping = 3us) → x10/x10 attenuator → DCRCX(4)
DCRC33(2) → kepco 1kV power supply → HV input
status: Took 133Ba data overnight at -80V.
0835 Something is wrong with the DAQ it seems - the last series written was 07180911_0306, which has the normal number of dumps (10). But the flashes continue Also, the K100 Status page hasn't updated since 3:35.
0840 MIDAS is completely down, no programs running. Restart MIDAS. Restart DAQ programs.
Sequence restarts. It looks like it's ramping up the HV. This is consistent with the fact that the last written data was a complete series, so probably the crash happened during the wait after flash, so this next data block will presumably be OK.
0845 Somewhat strangely, the K100 Status page seems to be updating now, as if restarting MIDAS fixed it. But it's unrelated to MIDAS. Dunno what happened there.
0935 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 30.7/29.6/193 mK, Still = 1.0 mW / 1.5±0.1 K / 0.085 mbar, G1/G2 = 133/126 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.60 K / 19 mbar, Turbo on IVC = 0.86 nbar, MB = 72.6%
0945 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
1120 Do “Stop Immediately” on sequence (between datasets, during post-flash wait)
1130 Prep for IbIs. Reset DCRC1pC Driver Gain from 2 to 1. Then take QET biases to where IbIs is max (see May 31) and adjust driver offset so baseline near top of range.
1130 Dial HV up to -80V using change_HV_0_to_80_preBias_15_5_DCRC2.msl
1145 Yesterday I neglected to turn off triggering for IbIs. Still got reasonable curves but should be better with triggering off. Do that now.
1148 Start IbIs sequence on DCRC1pC, from 450 to 200 step -2 uA, HV = -80 V, front-end gain 10, driver gain 1. Using IbIs_loop_DCRC1pC.msl
1230 Reset DCRC3pB Driver Gain from 2 to 1. Then take QET biases to where IbIs is max (see May 31) and adjust driver offset so baseline near top of range.
1233 Start IbIs sequence on DCRC3pB, from 300 to 50 step -2 uA, HV = -80 V, front-end gain 10, driver gain 1. Using IbIs_loop_DCRC3pB.msl
1305 Reset DCRC3pC Driver Gain from 2 to 1. Then take QET biases to where IbIs is max (see May 31) and adjust driver offset so baseline near top of range.
1308 Start IbIs sequence on DCRC3pC, from 450 to 200 step -2 uA, HV = -80 V, front-end gain 10, driver gain 1. Using IbIs_loop_DCRC3pC.msl
1335 Reset DCRC3pD Driver Gain from 2 to 1. Then take QET biases to where IbIs is max (see May 31) and adjust driver offset so baseline near top of range.
1337 Start IbIs sequence on DCRC3pD, from 450 to 200 step -2 uA, HV = -80 V, front-end gain 10, driver gain 1. Using IbIs_loop_DCRC3pD.msl
1520 All IbIs data looks OK. Readjust driver offsets.
1520 Dial HV down to 0V using change_HV_80_to_0_DCRC2.msl
1520 Turn on triggering on DCRC3pB/C/D
1525 Flash DCRCs 1,3 for 30 seconds
1605 Start 10 x 2hr Ba datasets at -80V split into 10min subruns, with CDMS and NaI detectors running and DCRC2 as HV controller. Using sequence HVscan-80×10-15_5PreBias-30Flash-30wait-2hrData-10minSubRun.msl
CDMS detector: Driver Gains = 2x, QET biases = (280/260/305)/(140/280/295) uA, Front-End Gains = 10
NaI detector: 1.1kV → NaI B/C → Ortec 452(gain=5, shaping = 6 us, output=10V, Pos) / Ortec 575A(gain=10, shaping = 3us, Pos) → x10/x10 attenuator → DCRC4PB/PA, Driver Gains = 1/1, PhononWaveFormLength = 1024 (512 samples), PhononPrepulseSamples = 64 (64 samples)
1000 BOR randoms, trigger on DCRC3pB/C/D threshold = 7/10/9
1610 Take 133Ba source out of safe and place between mu metal shield and cryostat, 6“ below top of mu metal shield.
1703 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
