2018/08/15 (Wednesday)

Previous Day

Setup:
DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters 2/3/1 → cable 3/1/2 → gender changer 3/?/2 → HVConn 1/3/2 → HV 1/2 → DCRC55(1)/DCRC50(3)

1.1kV → NaI B/C → Ortec 452(gain=5, shaping = 6 us, output=10V) / Ortec 575A(gain=10, shaping = 3us) → DCRCX(4)
DCRC33(2) → kepco 1kV power supply → HV input
status: Took SiHV+NaI PuBe data overnight.
0955 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 31.7/29.3/166 mK, Still = 1.2±0.1 K / 0.080 mbar, G1/G2 = 140/133 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.64 K / 30 mbar, Turbo on IVC = 1.0 nbar, MB = 63.9%
1000 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
1015 Start 1 x 2hr 40 V PuBe datasets each split into 10min subruns, with CDMS and NaI detectors running and DCRC2 as HV controller. Using sequence HVscan-40×1-15_5PreBias-30Flash 30wait-2hrData-10minSubRun.msl
CDMS detector: Driver Gains = 2x, QET biases = (280/260/305)/(140/280/295) uA, Front-End Gains = 10
NaI detector: 1.1kV → NaI B/C → Ortec 452(gain=5, shaping = 6 us, output=10V, Pos) / Ortec 575A(gain=10, shaping = 3us, Pos) → DCRC4PB/PA, Driver Gains = 1/1, PhononWaveFormLength = 1024 (512 samples), PhononPrepulseSamples = 64 (64 samples)
1000 BOR randoms, trigger on DCRC3pB/D threshold = 7/9
1100 Measure 6-inch housings in clean room, and prepare to ship the two 6-inch detectors (S1501, 4/3inch and S1502, 1inch) to TAMU
S1502
Housing lip to crystal surface: 0.039 0.045 0.042 0.043
Housing lip to housing edge: 0.038
Lid lip to ceiling: 0.119
note: spacers are such that crystal is as close to lid as doable
Crystal surface to ceiling (calculated): 0.123 3.13mm
1120 Remove wirebonds from S1502. Place S1502 in its housing on a stack of foam disks, resting the bare side on the foam. Remove clamps, 2×0.02“ spacers each . Lower housing down. Lift crystal by lifting foam disks. Place on table. Put foam disks on top, then lower plastic container over stack. Pick up from bottom and flip, then put lid on plastic container.
1130 Disassemble S1501 stack. Place S1501 in its housing on a stack of foam circles. Lid side is up. Remove clamps plus 1×0.020”, 1×0.005“ spacer for each clamp. Lower housing around foam circles, then lift out detector on a foam circle. Place on desk, put some foam disks on top, put plastic holder over stack, flip, put more foam on top. Put in some extra wipes and foam around edge so that detector is held snug in plastic holder.
1350 Remove PuBe source from lab and place in 443.
1400 Campus-wide network issues. Can't run DAQ.
1606 Start 6 x 2hr 40 V background datasets each split into 10min subruns, with CDMS and NaI detectors running and DCRC2 as HV controller. Using sequence HVscan-40×6-15_5PreBias-30Flash 30wait-2hrData-10minSubRun.msl
CDMS detector: Driver Gains = 2x, QET biases = (280/260/305)/(140/280/295) uA, Front-End Gains = 10
NaI detector: 1.1kV → NaI B/C → Ortec 452(gain=5, shaping = 6 us, output=10V, Pos) / Ortec 575A(gain=10, shaping = 3us, Pos) → DCRC4PB/PA, Driver Gains = 1/1, PhononWaveFormLength = 1024 (512 samples), PhononPrepulseSamples = 64 (64 samples)
1000 BOR randoms, trigger on DCRC3pB/D threshold = 7/9
1700 Vuk-01 still seems to be suffering from time shifts. Created a simple batch file on the Desktop called timeSynch.bat which is scheduled to synchronize the computer time with a remote server every 10 minutes. This is not a permanent solution, but will hopefully help.
1701 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
