2017/11/30 (Thursday)

Previous Day

Setup: DIB1/3/4 → SL 27/19/20 → 3.2 MHz filters → cables 2,1,3 → HV board inputs 1,3,2 → HV board outputs 1,2 → DCRC55(1)/50(3). Also DCRC4 is powered and hooked up to control the HV setting.
Windows machine vuk-01 has crashed. Currently no access to LabVIEW cryo vi's.
This morning the power button blinked orange rather than turning green. Hopefully this is just a power supply issue. Currently the computer is in the hands of Jesse in IT. He may have an extra power supply - if not we should order one.
0905 Tower = 280 kΩ (22.3 mK), Still = 0.110 mbar, G1/G2 = 242/222 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.63 K / 28 mbar, MB = 33.1%
Using the tower thermometer calibration found on the wiki, Tower = 280 kΩ corresponds to 22.3 mK. Currently there is a spreadsheet open with a convenient lookup table - find the resistance in the table closest to the LakeShore reading and read off the temperature.
If we want there are also calibrations for MC, Still, Coldplate thermometers
0910 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
1320 Start LHe transfer (MB = 26.6%)
1343 Test changeHV bias ramp sequence. Turn on HV power supply using DCRC4QO=2. Start sequence changeHV_0_45_preBias15_5.msl This should ramp up, prebias by 15% for 5 min and then ramp down to 45 V .
1347 Sequence ramps voltage from 0 to 51.63 V over ~1 min. V_leak never goes above ~40 mV. Sequence waits for 5 min.
1353 Sequence ramps down to 45.01 V. Now try changeHV_45_0.msl to turn the bias back down to 0 from 45 V. Sequence ends with HV = 55 mV. Turn off HV power supply with DCRC4QO=0. HV = 0.86 V.
1407 Need higher voltage calibrations for automated bias scans. Take a few data points.
