2017/11/26 (Sunday)

Previous Day

Setup: DIB1/3/4 → SL 27/19/20 → 3.2 MHz filters → cables 2,1,3 → HV board inputs 1,3,2 → HV board outputs 1,2 → DCRC55(1)/50(3). Also DCRC4 is powered and hooked up to control the HV setting.
0755 As of last night, the DAQ programs won't stay on. When you start the dcrc_driver, then the tower_fe, then the trigger_fe, then dcrc_driver or tower_fe will spontaneously shut off.
0805 Tried a few things, such as disabling one or the other DCRC in the ODB. Doesn't help, can't keep the programs running. If I disable both DCRCs the programs will start. Then I tried enabling them while the programs were running and that was OK. Then I tried starting a run and they all shut off again.
0830 Tried to communicate with DCRCs 1, 3 and 4 via telnet. Couldn't get a connection with any of them.
1406 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 24.0/26.2/156 mK, Still = 1.3 K / 0.110 mbar, G1/G2 = 211/195 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.66 K / 36 mbar, MB = 26.1%
1406 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
1415 Start LHe transfer (MB = 26.1%)
1424 Powercycle DCRCs 1 & 3. Turn DAQ programs on, they seem to be staying on now.
1430 Zap DCRCs 1 & 3.
1455 Unsure if MB level meter is accurate… it is acting weird. Will try to tighten connections/use frost level to determine how full the bath is. From the recovery meter speed it does seem like the transfer is still going (not a blockage).
1458 Start run. All active DCRC 1 & 3 channels are unrailed and in the 0.8-09 V range. End run.
1508 Doesn't seem like adjusting the connections on the level meter improved anything. Still not reading a consistent level. Frost is forming pretty slowly.
1545 Meter finally showing a value that makes sense and is increasing as expected after unplugging and turning it back on.
1642 End LHe transfer. (MB = 89.8%)
1659 Begin IbIs data sequence on DCRC3pB with HV=0V from 750 to 300 uA in -1.0 uA steps, 3 seconds of data per step. (IbIsDCRC3pB.msl)
Sequence continued to completion.
1950 Turn off DAQ progams (trigger, tower, dcrc). Restart MIDAS and DAQ programs.
1959 Begin IbIs data sequence on DCRC3pC with HV=0V from 600 to 300 uA in -1.0 uA steps, 3 seconds of data per step. (IbIsDCRC3pC.msl)
Series continued to completion
2245 Turn off DAQ progams (trigger, tower, dcrc). Restart MIDAS and DAQ programs.
2254 Begin IbIs data sequence on DCRC3pD with HV=0V from 750 to 450 uA in -1.0 uA steps, 3 seconds of data per step. (IbIsDCRC3pD.msl)
Sequence continued to completion
