Previous Day

Status: warming. All mixture in dump. LN2 traps warm and pumped out. Contaminants from fridge were pumped out at 220 K. Turbo pumping on cryostat vacuum jacket overnight.
0938 Pump manifold pressure = 3.0e-5 mbar
0941 Close cryostat vacuum jacket valve.
1120 MC(Cernox) = 286.8 K (57 F)
1150 Lower cryostat into pit, erect clean tent
1630 MC(Cernox) = 293.2 K. That's 20.1 C, a bit cooler than the 24.0 C in the lab. But it looks like it's still rising, since dropping the cryostat.
1640 Experiment more with DCRC1:
  1. Plug DCRC1 into mini-bob and plug in power
  2. connect via telnet
  3. rd 0: this is updating, different value every time. not stuck
  4. rd 14: this reads 0. rd 2 and rd 3 are 0.
  5. wr 2 00F0, wr 3 1728. Then rd 14, non-zero value. rd 14 repeatedly - it's value keeps changing.
  6. On ODB enable only DCRC1, set as master. Then start programs. rd 0 and rd 14 are still updating. wr 2 and wr 3 have the same values as I entered.
  7. start run with MIDAS, then check rd 0. Updates for 20 seconds, then gets stuck.
  8. also rd 14 is stuck. rd 2 is updating
  9. stop run, rd 2 is no longer updating. rd 0 and rd 14 still stuck.
  10. rd 2 = 00E5, rd 3 = 4CA8. Try changing these - the changes register, but rd 14 and rd 0 don't change.
  11. stop programs. DCRC is still stuck.
  12. power cycle DCRC.
  13. repeat 1-7. DCRC takes longer to get stuck, somewhere between 3 and 4 minutes.
1715 DAQ computer (jiajin) is now stuck. Actually can still type in the telnet session but can't click on any other windows. So can't stop the MIDAS run. (My desktop computer is also stuck so maybe a problem with all the Physics Linux machines.)
