Previous Day

Status: warm. All mixture in dump. LN2 traps warm and pumped out. Contaminants from fridge were pumped out at 220 K. Cryostat vacuum jacket pumped out. Cryostat in pit, IVC full of N2.
0945 MC(Cernox) = 296.7 K on LakeShore display, 297.6 on LabVIEW vi. Lab thermometer reads 297.35 K. So actually maybe the LabVIEW calibration is closer.
1005 Jiajin required a reboot. MIDAS was still running but seemed to be in a stuck state, so killed MIDAS and restarted it.
Note: all DCRC tests below were done with the DCRC plugged into the mini-BOB.
1020 Experiment with DCRC1
  1. start MIDAS run with only DCRC1 enabled and set as Master.
  2. gets stuck after about 4 minutes.
  3. interesting pattern: before it was stuck, rd 14 always gave 2#22, only the second digit changing. Now that it's stuck, rd 14 is stuck at 187F
  4. stop MIDAS run
  5. rd 2 = 00EA, rd 3 = AA88
1055 Stop MIDAS programs and power cycle DCRC1
  1. start MIDAS run with only DCRC1 enabled and set as Master.
  2. stop run after 10 seconds. DCRC is not stuck.
  3. rd 2 = 00D0, rd 3 = 3680
  4. will wait a while to see if it ever gets stuck… after about 2 hours still not stuck
  5. start another MIDAS run. Gets stuck immediately, within 3 seconds.
  6. rd 2 = 00F2, rd 3 = ABE0
  7. Power cycle again, start MIDAS run: gets stuck after about 5.5 minutes.
  8. stop MIDAS run, rd 2 = 00FB, rd 3 = EDC8
1300 Experiment with DCRC4
  1. Power on DCRC4
  2. on Telnet, rd 0 initially only gives 0000. But wr 15 0, wr 15 20 causes rd 0 to update normally
  3. set MIDAS to only enable DCRC4 as master
  4. Start MIDAS run. lasts for at least 1 hour with MIDAS run going, doesn't get stuck.
1415 Experiment with DCRC3
  1. Power on DCRC3
  2. on Telnet, rd 0 is updating. Unlike with DCRC4, I didn't have to wr 15 0, wr 15 20 first
  3. set MIDAS to only enable DCRC3 as master
  4. Start MIDAS run. Gets stuck after about 10 seconds.
  5. stop MIDAS run. rd 2 = 00C2, rd 3 = 7660
  6. power cycle and try again. Gets stuck 55 seconds after starting MIDAS run.
  7. stop MIDAS run. rd 2 = 00DE, rd 3 = 6BF0
