Previous Day

Setup: DIB 1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters 1/2/3 → cable 1/2/3 → gender changer 1/3/4 → DCRC55(1)/33(2)/X(4)
0830 Tower = 26.0 mK, Still = 0.065 mbar, G1/G2 = 182/173 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.735 K / 50 mbar. MB = 30.6%
0835 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
0850 Lab = 23.5 C, Humidity = 41%
Overnight: took charge-bias-scan data. In most cases it looks like the 25 minute wait after the flash took the fridge down to 27 mK, then it cooled during the run to 26 mK before the next flash.
For the last four series, the charge bias apparently heated the fridge. Hadn't noticed that yesterday. See below:
Charge bias [V] Fridge temp [mK]
+4/-4 and lower 26
+5/-5 34
+6/-6 38.5
+8/-8 49
+10/-10 60
1247 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 26.7/29.5/187 mK, Still = 1.22 K / 0.065 mbar, G1/G2 = 183/171 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.74 K / 50 mbar. MB = 22.9% (Predicted level: 27.9%)
1305 Start LHe transfer (MB = 22.5%)
1359 End LHe transfer (MB = 92.2%)
1415 Release pressure from MB.
1625 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
1644 Modified charge_bias_scan.msl in a text editor for negative biases. Instead of using the Sequencer “load” button, I simply refreshed the page which seemed to update the sequence script on the web page. However, when I tried to start the sequence, it behaved strangely, skipping parts of the code. Aborted the sequence with LEDs all turned on. Turn these off manually.
1645 After loading the sequence properly using the button, it seems to work fine now.
1721 Waiting for the fridge to cool from that aborted series but it seems to be plateauing at 32mK. Realize that DCRC4 15VPower was left on when it is usually off. Turn it off in the ODB and temp quickly falls to 27.5mK and continues to cool.
1731 Start sequence 12 60-minute data series of charge-bias-scan data with Frontend Gain = (15/2)/(4/4)/(5/5/5/5), OG = 4/2/4, QET biases = 2017/07/17, with 1000 beginning randoms, 30 sec flash with 25 min wait, and a 45ADC bin threshold trigger on DCRC1 q[0]. Charge biases are DCRC1/2 = -/+ = Side1/2 = +/-. Side 1 biases in order are 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 5
Note: This data was started with a 10 minute delay from start time.
