Previous Day

Setup: DIB 1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters 1/2/3 → cable 1/2/3 → gender changer 1/3/4 → DCRC55(1)/33(2)/X(4)
1015 Tower = 27.2 mK, Still = 0.060 mbar, G1/G2 = 164/160 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.67 K / 20 mbar. MB = %
1015 Lab = 23.6 C, Humidity = 41%
1020 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
1036 Attach top corners of lead shield. Approximate rate measured on DCRC1PA is 115 Hz.
1142 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 26.9/30.3/180 mK, Still = 1.24 K / 0.055 mbar, G1/G2 = 163/160 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.66 K / 20 mbar. MB = 32.4% (Predicted level: 36.8%)
1152 Start LHe transfer (MB = 31.7%)
1225 End LHe transfer (MB = 91.8%)
1500 Finish IbIs on DCRC1pC/DIB1pC/Side1pE. Trying the new DAQ and the new Pulse Display. There are some advantages, such as a Mean value for a trace (seems to be taking the mean of an early part of the trace, not the full trace). Some disadvantages too such as an inability to change the trace length.
1550 Finish IbIs on DCRC2pB/DIB3pB/Side2pC.

The new PulseViewer has a “Mean” readout, which is apparently the mean value of the trace (although it seems to be the mean value of an early part of the trace, not the whole trace). This is very useful for manual IbIs. When the TES is in transition so that there are pulses, you can click through trace-by-trace and take the minimum value of the mean over many traces, and take this as the baseline for that Ib setting.

What would be even better would be another readout that saves the *minimum* value of the “Mean” readout. There would need to be a “reset” button. The “Min Mean” readout would show the minimum of the “Mean” output since the “reset” button was pressed. (Possibly a “Max Mean” would be good too, if we ever take IbIs through both polarities. But I wouldn't use it nearly as often.)

1655 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
