Previous Day

Setup: DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters 3/1/2 → cable 3/1/2 →gender changer 3/1/2 → HVConn 1/3/2 → HV 1/2 → DCRC55/DCRC33
PuBe source in paraffin barrel behind shield (west side)
Took NaI-triggered data overnight @50V, looks good, although DCRC2 pD has significant lowish frequency noise, has been that way for a few days
0850 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 33.0/30.6/189 mK, Still = 1.2 K / 0.110 mbar, G1/G2 = 235/215 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.690 K / 28 mbar. Main Bath = 71.8%.
0850 HV = 50.01 V, Vtest = 1.6 mV → Vdetector = 49.3 V
0855 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
0948 Start 1 1-hour data series of 1-sided 50V HV coincidence data with Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(3/5/2), OG = 4/2, QET biases = table from Apr 28, with 1000 beginning randoms, no flashing, and a 20ADC bin threshold trigger on DCRC1 pA (Side1 pE). Running OR trigger of NaI detectors with PuBe source on west side of shield. NaI detector C has 311 mV threshold and detector B has 288 mV threshold
Note that I switched to triggering on a more stable channel.
0952 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 20 to 18
0956 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 18 to 16
1004 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 16 to 14
1008 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 14 to 12
1008 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 12 to 10
1015 Begin filling HPGe detector LN2 dewar.
1021 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 10 to 8
1024 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 8 to 6
1028 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 6 to 4
This was ok up to Dump 39, but at Dump 40 and later it looks like it's triggering too randomly. Maybe it got extra noisy at some point. So 6 seems safe but 4 maybe too low.
1048 Reduce trigger threshold on DCRC1pA from 4 to 6
1050 Dial HV down to 0 V
1055 Begin 30 minute bake on DCRCs 1&2
1205 Tower has cooled to 34.1 mK. Dial HV up to 65 V.
1230 Reduce HV to 50 V
1240 Looking at the DCRC2 channels, looks like pC and pD may both be showing some signs of 10 kHz oscillations, seem to be less noisy if QET bias is increased by 1 or 2 uA. But for now will leave them, maybe look more tomorrow.
1245 HV = 50.00 V, Vtest 0.9 mV → Vdetector = 49.6 V
1249 Start 1 1-hour data series of 1-sided 50V HV coincidence data with Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(3/5/2), OG = 4/2, QET biases = table from Apr 28, with 1000 beginning randoms, no flashing, and a 6ADC bin threshold trigger on DCRC1 pA (Side1 pE). Running OR trigger of NaI detectors with PuBe source on west side of shield. NaI detector C has 311 mV threshold and detector B has 288 mV threshold
1353 Start 19 1-hour data series of 1-sided 50V HV coincidence data with Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(3/5/2), OG = 4/2, QET biases = table from Apr 28, with 1000 beginning randoms, no flashing, and a 1500ADC bin threshold trigger on DCRC4 pA (TTL signal). Running OR trigger of NaI detectors with PuBe source on west side of shield. NaI detector C has 311 mV threshold and detector B has 288 mV threshold
1708 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
