2016/12/02 (Friday)

Previous Day

Setup: DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters → cables1/2/3 → DCRC55(1)/33(2)/50(3)
Overnight data: DCRC1 pB railed 18 minutes into the 1201_1732 series. Otherwise data looked OK.
0800 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 33.1/36.0/221 mK, Still = 1.3 K / 110 μbar, G1/G2 = 190/170 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.70 K / 28 mbar. MB = 65.5%.
Boil off rate: .
0805 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
0815 Perform supermini IbIs:
channel QET bias Vbias-V300 driver gain New value
DCRC1 pA 182 0.283 x2 0.264
DCRC1 pB 185 0.1095 x2 -0.7835
DCRC1 pC 185 0.5765 x2 0.595
DCRC1 pD 190 -0.0776 x2 -0.085
DCRC2 pB -174 -0.8042 x1 0.443
DCRC2 pC -173 0.1193 x1 0.1165
DCRC3 pB 207 0.005 x2 -0.007
DCRC3 pC 165 0.0735 x2 0.0615
DCRC3 pD 202 -0.162 x2 -0.17
0835 Start a sequence of 1-hour series of 0V data with Frontend Gain = 5/2/5, OG = 8/3/8, with 1000 beginning randoms, with no flashing in between series, and a 45ADC bin threshold trigger on DCRC3 pD. Left the sequencer set to 12 series but I will stop it early.
1117 Stop data taking to repeat supermini IbIs.

1420 Looking for a different set of higher QET bias points for all the channels. Using the Nov 29-30 IbIs curves to help locate the range of strong 10kHz oscillations - they seem to show up in the same place. Mostly trying to find points above this oscillatory region (current points are all below), and verify that there are still reasonable looking pulses.
One interesting observation - when 10kHz was very strong in DCRC3 pD, it was also appearing as pickup in DCRC3 pC, but not in pD.

DCRC1 pA 182 0.2865 194 0.4511 above oscillation range

Prefactors calculated using interpolations of Nov 29-30 IbIs curves
using adjusted voltage offsets

The new prefactors are on average 1.5 times higher, ranging from 1 to 2 times higher.

1500 Adjust driver offsets, all channels look OK
1511 Start a sequence of 1-hour series of 0V data with Frontend Gain = 5/2/5, OG = 8/3/8, with 1000 beginning randoms, with no flashing in between series, and a 35ADC bin threshold trigger on DCRC3 pD. Left the sequencer set to 12 series but I may stop it early.
looks like I forgot to set the initial randoms. Apparently no in-run randoms either.
DCRC3pD railed 13 minutes into the _2312 series. So the first 8 series are good.
1515 Main bath = 54.8%
1605 Fill LN2 cold trap bath

Nominal end-of-run plan: finish next week, warm up over weekend

Monday analyze PCE data, maybe take more data
Tuesday switch to HV, make IbIs curves, choose biases
Wednesday take HV data (during day)
Thursday take HV data (during day)
Friday take HV data, measure breakdown

Fun Luke gains to shoot for:

Luke gain HV at detector
10 27 V
20 57 V
30 87 V
