Previous Day

DCRC1 and DCRC3 powered on and connected through HV setup EBoxDIB 2/3 → 3.2 MHz filters → Cables → remapping board I/remapping board II → HVside2board “DIB1”/“DIB2” → DCRC55(1)/50(3). Remapping boards have all possible lines switched off. .
1915 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 77/54/??(2.5 kΩ) mK, Still = 1.10 K / 90 μbar, G1/G2 = 205/190 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.56 K / 5.0 mbar. MB = 27.1%
Earlier regular temperature spikes to 0.29 K from flashing between a sequence of data series, last one at 11:48
1925 Power down DCRCs 1 and 3.
1930 Begin warmup procedure. Close V6 to stop circulation. Currently IVC = 7.4 nbar. Turn on MC heater to 20 mW.
1935 Tower has risen to 1.8 K, IVC = 7.4 nbar, still low.
1940 Pump mixture out of Trap 1 into dump by closing V1 and V13a then opening V9 and V5
1945 Tower = 2.2 K, IVC = 7.4 nbar, still low
1945 G1 has bottomed out at <1 mbar, LN2 Trap 1 is empty. Stop pumping trap out by closing V12a+speedi and V5. Then turn off 3He pump.
1950 Open V3, V1, and V4 to let mixture from fridge expand into dump.
1950 Close 1K Pot speedivalve to stop pumping on 1K Pot. Leave needle valve open to allow pot to fill with LHe. Close V4a and valve to 4He pump. Open 4He outlet to “exhaust” and close recovery valve. Turn off 4He pump.
2000 Tower = 2.3 K, 1k Pot = 2.2 K, IVC = 7.4 nbar. Looks like there's no detectable He in IVC this run.
2005 Let some He gas into the IVC (pressurize one hose-length to a few PSI then let enough in so that mechanical gauge falls to 1 bar). Tower temperature quickly rises to near 4 K.
2010 MC (Cernox) = .35 K, IVC = 1.0 μbar
2015 MB = 25.6%. Let one hose-length of He gas into IVC vacuum jacket. After 20 seconds or so this causes rapid release into recovery system as bath begins to boil off.
2020 MB = 8.0%, boiling rapidly
2020 MC (Cernox) = 3.9 K and flat, 1K Pot = 1.9 K and rising, G1/G2 (mixture) = 420 mbar and rising, IVC = 1.0 μbar
2025 MB = -1.0%, most of the LHe is gone, but recovery is still very rapid.
Recovery lines have gotten frosty all the way back to the meter, might be bad for the meter to frost up like that. Let pressure out of top of MB for a few minutes to calm things down.
Tower begins warming above 4K
2030 Tower = 5.3 K, 1K Pot = 4.7 K, IVC = 1.2 μbar
2035 Tower = 8.3 K, 1K Pot = 5.3 K, Sorb = 9 K, IVC = 1.4 μbar, G1/G2 = 600 mbar. Turn off MC heater.
2040 Recovery meter is slowing down, I guess it's ok to leave it.
