Previous Day

Status Tower installed. Four stripline reroutings done. Time for another try at electrical checkout.
0825 Finish checkout on DIB1, looks OK.
0835 Finish checkout on DIB3, looks OK. One confusing thing though: Q Feedback → Drain or Source reads open on both qI and qO. This is how it was before and we don't care because there are no charge channels on this DIB. But why are the FETs open? Are there stripline breaks we are ignoring? On both qI and qO?
0920 Partially attach all three SQUETSs (removed DIB3, then attached DIB2 SQUET with one screw, then plugged in the DIB3 SQUET with no screws.)
0930 DIB3 checkout looks OK
0935 DIB2 checkout looks OK
0940 DIB1 checkout looks OK
1000 Fully attach all SQUETs and SQUIDs.
1100 DIB1, DIB2 check out OK, some high (~5nS) conductances to chassis.
DIB3 Feedback A/ret was high and unstable as were QET A/ret. Loosening the philips head screw on the squet and re-tightening it seemed to do the trick.
1220 After tightening the heat sinks, SQUID bias/ret A was dodgy. Loosening and re-tightening heat sink fixed it. Then, SQUID bias/ret D was found to have gone bad. Break for lunch/crying in the bathroom. ._.
1326 In the mean time, assessing possible use of 4th DCRC. After talking with IT, found that DCRCs need to be connected directly to the PAN ethernet network sockets now. We're currently using sockets AE, AH, and AN for our 3 DCRCs. Of the remaining unused sockets, AO, AK, and AR were also found to work.
1428 Over lunch, SQUID bias/ret D fixed itself and SQUID bias/ret B developed a problem. Fiddling with screws fixed it.
1520 After trying to manipulate the stripline or the SQUID flyover cable, it appears that perhaps the issue is with the SQUID/SQUET itself. Swap out ZC-14 for ZC-26 to see if ZC-26 can solve our woes.
1630 New SQUET fixes problem. All three DIBs pass checkout.
1645 LN2 has been in LN2 trap bath overnight, still some left in there (but can't fill it, storage Dewar is empty). V4 and V12b were left open, leaving mix from dump open to trap 2. Start pumping trap contents back to dump.
1700 Finish pumping to dump, G1 flat < 1.5 mbar. G2 (dump) = 785 mbar. Remove Trap 2 from bath to warm up, leave V12b open to monitor pressure on G1.
1708 Seal up IVC can and commence pumping on IVC with scroll pump.
1811 With IVC=6.3E-2mbar, open IVC to turbo pump and isolate scroll pump.
2010 Leave for night with IVC=4.6E-4mbar.
