Previous Day

1030 Took another look at Face 3 of the tower. Removed the cover plates at 4K and 600mK to view the shorting wire at Socket 1.

Tried pushing on the wire to see how loose it is. It doesn't feel much looser than the others. It may be that it's simply a little off center at the solder joints.
After messing with it this way the short disappeared. The short only came back when we pushed it against the copper wall of the channel.
Loosened the screws on the solder board and pushed it to one side (there was a small amount of give), then retightened, in an attempt to center Wire 1 a little better in its channel. Did this with both the solder boards, at 4K and at 600 mK.
This may have fixed the Wire 1 short. But there is still the very loose Socket 15. Should we try epoxying it to the board?
