2015/11/25 (Wednesday)

Previous Day

0955 IVC pressure has dropped from 7.4E-5 mbar to 2.2E-5 mbar overnight.
1200 Check cryocleaning flow. No flow. Open V6 until flow is restored.
1245 Tighten IVC bottom flange screws by ~1/16th of a turn. Do 2 revolutions of that. Should be all good. Will perform leak check after a little more pumping out.
1300 Cease cryocleaning. Pump mixture to dump.
1305 IVC pressure at 2.2E-5mbar.
1430 Close all valves on IGH to isolate cold trap and mixture in dump. G1: 0.5mbar, G2: 800.0mbar, P1: 10ubar. Turn off He3 pump, turn on He4 pump, but He4 pump is still valved off from P2.
1440 As Cold Trap 1 is warming up, open path between it and p2 to P2. P2 was at 0.24mbar, and rose to 1000mbar. Must just be a lot of dirt. Check dump again by turning He3 pump on and opening V9 to G2, just to make sure we've got the mix still in the dump. G2 at 798mbar, so we're good.
1500 G1: 16.2, G2: 637 (with V9 closed and pump off), P2: 1000mbar, P1: 0.018mbar. Open He4 pump valve to begin pumping on P2/Cold Trap 1 with He4 pump. P2 quickly drops below 1mbar.
Open leak checker to IVC.
1505 Background leak rate in IVC of 7.8E-8 mbarL/s: An order of magnitude less than yesterday.
1515 During leak check of all IVC flanges, leak rate oscillates between 7.6E-8 and 8.0E-8 mbarL/s, but never spikes. Looks like we're good.
1630 G1=52.5 mbar (what is this?), G2=600.6 mbar, P1=0.019 mbar, P2=0.03 mbar. Close all valves to cease pumping out cold trap. Close speedivalve to He4 pump and then turn off He4 pump. Turbo pump at 1.6E-5 mbar, leave pumping on IVC overnight. Put Cf source in poly-lead castle in front of IVC. Shielding blocks source from any incoming people, but sign places on door and on castle just in case.
