Monochromator Measurements of GdTIP-loaded Plastic Scintillator Samples

Experimental Set Up

Driel Cornerstone 130, resolution: 0.5 nm, accuracy: 0.50 nm, precision:0.11 nm

Five different LEDs are measured using an Oriel 74000 monochromator. Each sample is aligned such that the monochromator input aligns with the face of the illuminated sample.

A cap made of PVC was milled such that a 2.5 cm diameter sample wrapped in PTFE tape first inside. The CAD drawing shows the design used to make the cap. In the rear of the cap, an off-centered hole was drilled for the LED so that its face and the rear face of the Gd-loaded PS sample were flush.

Data was collected in 1.0 nm steps from 350.0 nm to 600.0 nm.
