Monochromator Measurements of DMR-12A,B,C,D
Experimental Set Up
The same general setup as described previously was used. A 310nm LED (E305 SL, International Light Technologies, forward voltage: 5.5V, current: 20mA), was pulsed using a 10kHz, 10.9 VPP square wave with a 5.45 VDC offset using a function generator (Tektronix CFG-250) with a 270 Ohm resistor in series. In between each measurement, the monochromator MUST BE POWER CYCLED. A spectrum for each sample was taken from 350-600nm in 1nm increments.
The scintillator wrapped in PTFE tape was placed in the cap milled to hold the sample. The sample was aligned using laser pointers so that that the monochromator input slot was centered on a point 0.5cm radially from the sample's center. The sample face was aligned 0.5cm away from the monochromator face.
