Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Himangshu
Status Run 78 ending.
Yesterday, Start pumping out IVC with Scroll pump. Switch over to pumping the CVJ. Then, start pumping on both. After the pressure is below 1e-1 mbar, use the turbo to pump further down.
Yesterday, Close helium recovery valve to main bath, open stopper on main bath to check pressure, there is none.
1424 Valve out turbo and disconnect line to CVJ (IVC closed) so that we can lower the main bath.
1430 Start removing screws to lower main bath. Loosen medium screws at bottom, two large screws at top, then remove all small screws at top. The shortened 5/16 Allen key that's necessary to remove two screws that are located under fridge insert brackets is kept in the plastic box with the Dewar screws.
1505 Completely removed main bath screws and lowered main bath
1514 Check contents of warm LN2 Trap 1: 97 (99.7 on G1) mbar. Pump it out with the scroll pump.
1522 G1 = 2.8 mbar and stable, stop pumping on trap 1.
1638 Start slowly letting N2 gas into IVC. Hook up the N2 line to the gauge and it reads about 10 mminHg, slowly open the valve so that the gauge slowly creeps up(currently at 5.4e1 mbar on the digital reading), wait until it the pirange gauge goes upto -1 mminHg.
1652 IVC is up to 1atm of N2. MC = 283.3 K.
