Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Himangshu, Zach
Status Run 77 preparation
Setup DCRC33(2)→HV control, NaI trigger signal → DCRCX(4)
IVC closed and Turbo pumping for a while. No tower - this was just for a leak test.
1400 Trying to figure out the thermometry wiring on the warm side. Found the 15pin Dsub connected earlier used for Goldman Thermometer wiring in Run 75. Looked up the mapping for this connector
1444 The mapping for this connector is V+/V-/I+/I- → pin 5/14/10/11 → wire Black/Red/Green/White.
1450 Recall that in the cold side, Zach has connected first two pin to 1st wire of rox thermometer and next two pins to the 2nd wire of rox thermometer (2 wire to 4 wire map). So we need to connect V+, I+ to one side and V-, I- to other side. Since we are using the diverter board Motor X coils female socket, we will solder V+, I+ ⇒ Black and Green wire to Pin1 and Pin2 of the motor coil male socket and V-, I- ⇒ Red and White wire to Pin3 and Pin4 of the motor wire male socket.
1528 The Labview VI needs to be updated to be able to read this new rox thermometer. Looked up the subvi's and found the R_vs_T_ver2.vi needs to be edited. This has another subvi, R_T_goldman.vi which can be copied and modified to insert calibration curve for the thermometer.
1655 Zach completed solder wires to the Dsub connector for the new thermometer.
1720 Himangshu completed editing the Labview VI to include rox thermometer calibration curve
