| Status | Run 76 in progress |
|---|---|
| Setup | Cables 2/3/1 → diverter/nothing/nothing → Side2-readout HV CONN 1/3/2 → HV 1(L)/2(R) → DCRC50(3)/DCRC55(1), DCRC33(2)→HV control, NaI trigger signal → DCRCX(4) Lead/poly shield fully assembled. Boron-filled socks covering NaI detectors. PuBe source behind lead wall on West side of lead/poly shield. |
| NaI trigger window: 7.6-11.2 MeV | |
| Cooled to base three days ago after eleventh 5K pumpout. Taking -83V low-threshold SiHV-triggered PuBe data overnight. | |
At about this time dump sizes fall. Probably this is when helium films started hurting the phonon channel performance. That's around dump 2990.
Phonon baselines are highly elevated. Stop series.
Dial HV down to 0V
Close V6 to stop circulation
Turn off 3He pump
Close 1K Pot needle valve
Close 1K Pot speedivalve
Turn on Still and MC heaters to 20 mW each
Open V3; G1 rises, so this released pressure on the Still side.
G1(fridge) = 859 mbar. Open V9 to release mixture into dump.
MC/1KPot/Sorb = 5.80/5.93/7.4 K. These are flat now.
Close V4a, 4He pump inlet valve. Turn off 4He pump. Close recovery valve to 4He pump outlet. NOTE: remember to open recovery valve when the pump is turned back on.
Unplug DCRCs 1&3 (can't turn off DAQ programs, don't have access to cdms1 currently)
Apply some vacuum grease in the gap between the knurled knobs on the stripline elbow, directly to stripline tube. Remove the washers that were holding it up, then push it down so that the knurled knobs are touching.
Check pressure in IVC: 0.10 ubar.
Star pumping out IVC with turbo pump
MC/1KPot/Sorb = 8.01/>7/9.2 K, rising linearly.
Begin LHe transfer @ MB = 35.1%
Fill LN2 cold trap bath
MC/1Kpot/Sorb = 10.03/5.84/7.5 K Turn off MC and Still heaters
End LHe transfer @ MB = 94.2%
