Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Giulia, Matt
Status Run 76 in progress
Setup Cables 2/3/1 → diverter/nothing/nothing → Side2-readout HV CONN 1/3/2 → HV 1(L)/2(R) → DCRC50(3)/DCRC55(1), DCRC33(2)→HV control, NaI trigger signal → DCRCX(4)
Lead/poly shield fully assembled. Boron-filled socks covering NaI detectors.
PuBe source behind lead wall.
NaI trigger window -t10760 -T15760 (7.6-11.2 MeV)
Taking NaI-triggered HV data overnight
0629 Start -197.3 V PuBe data series 10 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, 5 Hz in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC3pD threshold 10 (Si-triggered).
Start series with the Start Button.
0630 MC = 29.2 mK
0635 Pulses still look fine.
0646 Start -197.3 V PuBe data series 268 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, 5 Hz in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC4pA threshold 20 (NaI-triggered).
Start series with the Start Button.
1100 MC/Coldplate = 29.2/152 mK, Still = 1.08 K / 0.095 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2 = 134/131 mbar, 1K Pot = 60° / 1.55 K / 8.0±0.5 mbar, MB = 36.2%
1110 Filled LN2 cold trap dewar.
1112 Vtest = -43 mV
1115 Check again the purge gas flow at the Vent port on the LN2 Dewar. Very low flow. Open valve more to restart flow.
1120 Vtest = -24 mV, better
1235 Check Vtest again - not very stable, seems to be around -100 mV. Check LN2 vent port - almost no flow, not because the valve is closed too much but because the Dewar has no pressure. Close the vent valve for now.
1240 Dial HV down to 0V
1528 Begin LHe transfer @ MB = 29.8%
1600 Realize that DCRC4 was disable all weekend, so data has no NaI triggers.
1626 End LHe transfer @ MB = 91.8%
