Previous Day

  • Lab in-personnel: Giulia and Matt
Status Run 75 in progress
Setup Tower Faces 5/3/2 → Cables 2/1/3 → nothing/diverter_board/nothing → DCRC55(1)/DCRC50(3)/DCRCx(4)
Lead shield in place. Am Source y = 10.05 mm
1110 Goldman = 41.2 mK. Set QET biases to target dP/dI=1.0 uV and adjust driver offsets so baselines ~ -0.9 V
1113 Start 0V data series, 43 min long, with 1000 initial randoms, no in-run randoms, trigger on DCRC3pB threshold 10.
Start series with the Start Button.
1320 Goldman/Tower/MC(H35)/Coldplate = 41.1/73.8/33.6/182 mK, Still = 1.46 K / 0.120 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2= 263.5/231.4 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.59 K / 14±1 mbar, MB = 69.5%.
1334 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
1515 Establish communication with the Arduino. Temperature spike since I'm doing this remotely.
1515 Set Dwell to 40 ms
1521 Do mvNwait +4steps×152 times, 40 second wait, with dwell = 40 and power = 6.8 V. (Around 5.93 mm/hour)
This sequence will take 1hr41min20sec and will move the source a total distance of 10.02 mm ending at y = 0.03 mm. Should end at 5:02 pm.
Tower temperature averages around 0.51 K with familiar oscillations.
Gonna try to find Tc in the two channels that I couldn't before, DCRC1pB and DCRC4pA. In both cases I'll set QET bias to 2 uA - this should cause a drop of about 10 mV when they transition from normal to s/c.
1715 Goldman = 120 mK and cooling. Set all QET biases to 0, then set QET biases on DCRC1pB and DCRC4pA to 2 uA (which causes noticeable shift). Adjust driver offsets to get both baselines very close to 0.000 V.
1735 Saw transitions in DCRC1pB, high 87 low 85 mK, and in DCRC4pA, high 78 low 77 mK.
1835 Turn on DCRC1 LEDs with rep rate reduced from 5000 to 500. Turn off LEDs after 3 minutes. Goldman peaked at 1.28 K.
