Status Run 74 in progress. First cooldown after IVC rebuild. Started circulation last week.
Tower thermometer is reading high, probably this is a thermometer problem and the actual temperature is much lower.
1315 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 210/32.0/193 mK, Still = 1.36 K / 0.085 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2= 155/143 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.66 K / 32±2 mbar. MB = 63.7%
1325 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
1325 Tower = 209 mK / 8.172 kΩ at excitation 20.0 μV. Try different excitations. Try messing a little with the cable connections. No significant change.
1430 Trying to get the DCRCs going and MIDAS working. Currently we are able to start the MIDAS website from cdms1 (not cdms2). To do this we follow the directions but all the source and startup scripts have modified versions with names beginning “cdms1”. Also it is necessary that a particular text file (/home/spa-u-cdmssoft/scdmsDAQ/MidasDAQ/online/.SHM_HOST.TXT) is changed to give hostname cdms1.spa.umn.edu.

We got the MIDAS website started, plugged in the cables to the DCRCs, powered the DCRCs, and got the DAQ programs to start. MC temperature rose a bit so we know something is working.

Attempted to start the pulse viewer (SQUIDtuningGUI.exe). First modified another source script to refer to cdms1. GUI wouldn't start. Tried it from jiajin and got a library error - maybe because jiajin has an updated OS? Tried from cdms1, got the error shown below. Tried from cdms3 and it just hangs.

1500 Found on the ODB: / Experiment / Security / RPC hosts /. Here seems to be a list of computers - and cdms1.spa.umn.edu was not in the list. Added it to the list. And now the pulse viewer starts on cdms1!
1503 Start a series, taking randoms, to see if it will write to disk.
This works too. Good! the DAQ is working.
