Previous Day

  • Lab in-person: Matt
  • Virtual partner: Zach
Status Run 74 prep. 1K Pot pumped out and isolated. Fridge and 4He and LN2 Trap 1 isolated, not pumped out. Cryostat vacuum jacket pumped out. IVC open, tower removed.
1310 Matt arrives at lab.
1315 Last time I bent a pin on a side coax extender and soldered a wire to it so we could connect HV through the accessory interposer, to bypass the SQUID. The soldered wire kinda pushes against the tower, so we'll resolder it so that the wire goes off to the side.

1330 Resolder wire for HV connection. Now the wire can be guided to another tower face without pushing against anything.

1335 Tower assembly test - realize this Tower Connector spool is too long, we need the shorter one for the side coaxes we intend to use.

1350 Swap long Tower Connector for shorter one.

1355 Stack USD1 detector so that DIB1/2 aligns with Tower Face 1/4

1355 Stack Source housing over USD1 housing, aligning accessory wire slot with Tower Face 3

1410 Assembly test with accessory wires plugged in and with SQUET and Interposer plugged in, plan out wiring. Pins 1-4 for Motor, Pins 5/6 for Endstops, pin 9 for HV.

1415 Attach Side Coax ST-3-3/ST-3-10 to DIB1/DIB2. One screw at the tower, none at the DIB.

1530 Multiple problems with electrical checkout, DIB 1 Qinner appears open, face 1 LED wires appear open. Former seems to be broken wirebond. Latter turns out to be a not careful reading of our Tower wire documentation - face 1 has broken LED wires.
Need to move DIB → face 2, DIB 2 → face 5, accesories → face 4.
