Previous Day

  • Lab in-person:
  • Virtual partner:
Status Run 73 deinstallation. 1K Pot pumped out and isolated. Fridge and 4He and LN2 Trap 1 isolated, not pumped out. Cryostat vacuum jacket pumped out. IVC open, all stages removed, ready to remove tower.
1150 Working on repairing the DAQ after IT changed the cdmssoft virtual user and the home directory. As of last week I'd gotten it to the point where you could start MIDAS and the pulseviewer, and you could start a run, but only with logger off. Couldn't write data because write permissions were screwed up. Now Chad has fixed that so we'll try to write some data.
1156 Start test data series with DCRC1 on minibob. Run for about 6 minutes.
Partial success. DAQ seems to have written data and other stuff to /midasraw/livedata. But not to /midasraw/byseries. So LazyLogger doesn't seem to be working.
Turns out that permissions weren't totally fixed: spa-u-cdmssoft could not create new directories in /byseries.
1430 Chad seems to have fixed the problem of permissions to create directories. Let's try another test series.
1434 Start test data series with DCRC1 on minibob. Run for about 12 minutes.
successfully writes raw data to appropriate folder in /byseries. However, for some reason I'm unable to view these with BatViewer. Could that be some problem with the settings, or with the “data” from the minibob?
Actually it looks fine in BatViewer if you don't use –nohardcode. Not sure why there's a bug with the –nohardcode option, but it looks like the data is OK.
