Previous Day

  • Lab in-person: Zach
  • Virtual partner: Matt
Setup Run 73. DIB 1/3/4 → Stripline 43/48/41 → pi-filters 1/2/3 → Cable 3/1/2 → nothing/nothing/accessory_interposer → HV_Conn 1/3/2 → HV 1/2 → DCRCX(4)/DCRC55(1)-master; DCRC33(2) → HV control. DCRCs on. Lead/poly shield erected (4 lead walls, 2 poly walls).
Status: Cooling down after warmup to deal with 1K Pot partial blockage, helium in IVC. Started 1K Pot and circulation yesterday.
0930 MB = 63.4%
1000 MC(H35) = 31.8 mK, Still = 0.120 mbar, G1/G2 = 118/110 mbar. 1K Pot = 1.68 K / 24 mbar
1010 Take a look at the channels with the Pulse Viewer: strong pulses in DCRC1pB but weak in other channels
1100 Zach body temp = 97.4
1118 Zach arrives at lab.
1125 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 68.6/31.4/192 mK, Still = 1.46 K / 0.120 mbar / 0 mW, G1/G2= 113/122 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.68 K / 24±2 mbar.
1128 Filled LN2 cold trap dewar from 5L dewar, mostly full.
1130 MB = 60.4%
1133 Zach leaves lab.
Tower is disappointingly warm. Last cooldown the Tower was at 47.2 mK at this point, with the DCRCs on. Could be that the DCRCs are in a bad state. Let's try some zaps.
1135 Zap DCRC1&4 SQUIDs.
1505 Tower = 67.6 mK. Slowly cooling but still quite warm. Phonon channels look the same, strong pulses only in DCRC1pB.
1610 Try reducing DCRC1pD QET bias: from 410 all the way down to 240 uA, at this level it has strong pulses.
2140 Tower = 66.4 mK, cooling slowly
