2020/07/15 (Wednesday)
- Lab in-person: Matt
- Virtual partner: Nick/Michael
| 1030 | Matt Fritts body temperature = 97.4 F |
|---|---|
| 1115 | Matt arrives in lab |
| 1135 | Turbo on IVC = 22 nbar. Better than yesterday so maybe reassembly improved things. Still high compared to a week ago, suspect the gauge is getting dirty. |
| 1143 | With turbo valved out for a while, IVC = 0.86 ubar. Better than yesterday. |
| 1140 | Pump out warm LN2 Traps 1&2 (each had about 1 mbar) |
| 1220 | Start cryocleaning mixture through LN2 Cold Trap 1, V6 = 12.5% |
| 1230 | Increase V6 → 12.9% to restart flow |
| 1255 | Increase V6 → 13.0% to speed up flow |
| 1315 | Increase V6 → 13.1% to speed up flow |
| 1320 | Stop cleaning through Trap 1 after 60 min. G2 flow pressure was 560-800 mbar. Pump mixture to dump. Removed 11.7 mbar. |
| 1335 | Start cryocleaning mixture through LN2 Cold Trap 2, V6 = 13.1% |
| 1340 | Increase V6 → 13.2% to restart flow |
| 1420 | Increase V6 → 13.3% to speed up flow |
| 1440 | Stop cleaning through Trap 2 after 60 min. G2 flow pressure was 580-750 mbar. Pump mixture to dump. Removed 4.6 mbar. |
| 1500 | Close IGH valves and turn off 3He pump |
| NOTE: V12b Speedivalve is still open, and LN2 Trap 2 is still in LN2 bath (because cleaning was completed remotely). |
| 1320 | Leak checks at top of fridge, around stripline elbow and KF flange, 60→200 pbarL/s. Try covering elbow with cellophane tape, doesn't seem to help much. |
