Previous Day

  • Lab in-person: Matt
  • Virtual partner: Michael Gardner
1003 Matt Fritts body temperature = 97.1 F
1440 Matt arrives in lab
1450 Turbo on IVC: 8.6 nbar
1451 Applied more QCompound.
1530 Leak checks. @KF-Flange: Test 1 55pbarL/s > 64pbarL/s, Test 2 64pbarL/s > 170pbarL/s, Test 3 91pbarL/s > 180pbarL/s. @Elbow from top down: 100pbarL/s > 330pbarL/s.
1545 Additional QCompound applied.
1555 Further leak checks still show similar leak strengths. No reduction in leak.
In summary: strongest leak signal is when squirting down at gap between elbow and fridge flange from above. Goes to ~ 300 pbarL/s. Continued applying Q-compound in gap, filling the volume above the elbow and below the fridge flange. Now starting to fill in volume inside of elbow and outside of fridge flange, by applying Q-compound from above and tamping down. Still more to do, next time. Still wondering whether the fridge flange itself leaks right where the elbow is. I'll eventually cover that in Q-compound too.
1610 Matt Fritts leaving lab.
2255 Matt Fritts body temperature = 98.2 F
