Previous Day

Setup:
DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters 2/3/1 → cable 3/1/2 → gender changer 3/?/2 → HVConn 1/3/2 → HV 1/2 → DCRC55(1)/DCRC50(3)

1.1kV → NaI B/C → Ortec 452(gain=5, shaping = 6 us, output=10V) / Ortec 575A(gain=10, shaping = 3us) → x10/x10 attenuator → DCRCX(4)
DCRC33(2) → kepco 1kV power supply → HV input
status: Took PuBe data overnight at -80V with PuBe source out of barrel.
0935 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 30.8/29.8/188 mK, Still = 1.4±0.1 K / 0.070 mbar, G1/G2 = 117/96 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.60 K / 20 mbar, Turbo on IVC = 1.0 nbar. MB = 31.7%
0938 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
1013 Current dataset will end at 10:50, so we'll put the PuBe back in the barrel at that time.
1055 Put PuBe source back in paraffin barrel. We are currently between datasets of the sequence which began yesterday.
1545 Set sequence to stop at end of current run, 9/12 series. Stopping to do the LHe transfer.
1555 Dial HV from -80V to 0V using change_HV_80_to_0_DCRC2.msl
1600 Start LHe transfer (MB = 21.2%)
note: we used the method where we blow off the initial He gas into the top of the bath, but we tried to keep the pressure low, below about 1.8 PSI, by lowering the extender into the Dewar slowly, and waiting for a few minutes, and at one point letting pressure out of the Dewar relief valve. We used the Dewar relief valve to keep the pressure low after fully inserting the transfer rods.
1605 Flash DCRCs 1,3 for 30 seconds
1704 End lHe transfer (MB = 94.7%)
1735 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
1735 Remove PuBe from paraffin barrel and hang it outside the lead wall, at about the same height it was at in the barrel. Barrel is now situated behind the source.
1736 Start 10 x 2hr no-paraffin-PuBe datasets at -80V split into 10min subruns, with CDMS and NaI detectors running and DCRC2 as HV controller. Using sequence HVscan-80×10-15_5PreBias-30Flash-30wait-2hrData-10minSubRun.msl
CDMS detector: Driver Gains = 2x, QET biases = (280/260/305)/(140/280/295) uA, Front-End Gains = 10
NaI detector: 1.1kV → NaI B/C → Ortec 452(gain=5, shaping = 6 us, output=10V, Pos) / Ortec 575A(gain=10, shaping = 3us, Pos) → x10/x10 attenuator → DCRC4PB/PA, Driver Gains = 1/1, PhononWaveFormLength = 1024 (512 samples), PhononPrepulseSamples = 64 (64 samples)
1000 BOR randoms, trigger on DCRC3pB/D threshold = 7/9
