Previous Day

status: warming to room temperature over weekend. Pumping continuously on IVC. Helium in cryostat vacuum jacket.
On Friday the main bath was pumped out and backfilled with N2. So it should still be pretty much dry nitrogen.
1205 Turbo on IVC = 6.3 nbar. MC(Cernox) = 293 K
1210 IVC = 100 nbar (with turbo valved out)
1215 Leak detector on IVC, background 13.6 pbarL/s, lots better than on Friday. (This is with turbo valved out.)
Leak checking inside of MB
1220 Short blast He into top of MB, leak signal steady @ 13.4 pbarL/s.
1222 Another short blast into transfer stick lifted 1 inch, steady @ 13.6 pbarL/s.
1224 Push transfer stick back down, another short blast, steady at 13.7 pbarL/s. Looks like indium seals are ok.
1226 Blast near strip line tube connection, steady @ 14.2 pbarL/s.
1229 Blast near KF flange o-ring, steady at 14.4 pbarL/s.
1232 On April 16, the background level was lower and the leak signal read 10 pbarL/s. So maybe we aren't quite sensitive enough to see this leak now (?)
1239 Pumped out He cold trap with scroll pump, pressure V1 = 7.4 mbar.
1240 Pumping out fridge lines with scroll pump.
1244 Check pressure in LN2 warm trap 1, 244 mbar pumped out with scroll pump. Continue to pump out with scroll pump.
1248 Check pressure in LN2 warm trap 2, 6.0 mbar pumped out with scroll pump.
1400 Leak checker background has decreased while hooked up to the turbo pump, steady at 1.6 pbarL/s. Turbo on IVC = 10 nbar.
1450 Stop pumping out LN2 traps. Stop turbo on IVC. Background leak on IVC = 18 pbarL/s
1515 Let mixture in from pump to both sides of fridge lines through trap 2, background leak steady at 17 pbarL/s.
1516 Pump mixture back to dump.
1525 5 sec blast into bath from the top, steady @ 16 pbarL/s, continue to blast gas around top of fridge, slow increase but mostly steady from 18-19 pbarL/s.
1526 Closed IVC valves so only pumping on the fridge lines, immediate decrease to about 2 pbarL/s.
1538 Isolated IVC, began pumping on vacuum jacket with scroll pump. (Prior to pumping, vacuum jacket pressure was 1 mbar).
1546 Waited for vacuum jacket pressure to decrease, then switched from scroll pump to turbo pump, turning off scroll pump.
1548 Close V9, turn off He3 pump.
