2017/10/16 (Monday)

Previous Day

Status: Tower partially installed. Mixture has been cleaned a few times, probably enough but maybe will clean once more.
0855 Check Trap 2 at G1. Pressure actually goes down 5→2.3 mbar so must have been empty already. Pump out a bit with scroll pump
1130 Tower installed, striplines plugged in. Initial quick electrical check looks OK. Will check again after putting on bottom IVC.
1200 While putting on bottom IVC, do electrical check at BOB. All looks fine.
1210 IVC bottom screws mostly tightened. Start pumping gently on IVC with scroll pump.
1225 IVC = 0.30 bar (measured on mechanical gauge above green valve)
1230 Scroll pump = 0.19 mbar, pumping on IVC. Pumping valve now completely open.
1230 Scroll pump = 86 μbar, pumping on IVC. Switch to pumping with turbo.
1440 Turbo pump = 0.34 μbar, pumping on IVC. With valve closed IVC = 30 μbar.
1520 Turbo pump = 0.25 μbar, pumping on IVC. With valve closed IVC = 40 μbar. (Waited a lot longer after closing valve than last time.)
1525 Begin pumping IVC with Leak Detector. LD = 20 pbarL/s and falling.
1530 LD = 8.1 pbarL/s and flattening.
1540 LD = 7.4 pbarL/s and flat-ish. Start squirt-tests of IVC from top of fridge down.
1545 Squirt all IVC vacuum joints, no leak seen. Leak signal stays between 7.2-7.5 pbarL/s.
1545 Start pumping IVC with turbo again
1615 Finish raising main bath.
1630 Check for any gas in fridge. Pump out G1 and P1 volumes with scroll pump, then isolate them, then open Condenser to G1 and Still to P1. Each goes up from about 1.8 to about 2.3 mbar. Pump out with scroll pump.
1650 P1 down to 0.4 mbar. Stop pumping out fridge.
