Previous Day

Setup: DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters 3/1/2 → cable 3/1/2 →gender changer 3/1/2 → HVConn 1/3/2 → HV 1/2 → DCRC55/DCRC33
0908 Tower = 33.6 mK, Main Bath = 33.5%.
0909 Fill LN2 cold trap bath.
0949 Restarting MIDAS was giving me some trouble. Had to explicitly kill -KILL some MIDAS programs which the .kill_daq_umn.sh missed. Then it seemed to work.
0953 Disable DCRC4 and set DCRC1 as timing master in ODB. Adjust trace lengths in ODB for DCRC1, DCRC2 to 26.2144ms (PhononWaveFormLength = 65536)
1121 Set QET biases to QETbias * prefactor =30 [μA] settings in the table here.
1132 Having trouble with DCRC1pB, it is totally railed when in FB mode no matter what we try. Power cycle DCRC1.
1137 Zap DCRC1 SQUIDs
1154 Start 30 min 0V HV transition long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=30 column in table ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms. DCRC events seem misaligned. Bad timing link?
1244 Start 30 min 0V HV normal long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=+/- 300uA ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms.
1254 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 32.9/29.4/195 mK, Still = 1.3 K / 0.110 mbar, G1/G2 = 222/217 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.669 K / 20.0 mbar. Main Bath = 27.8%. Boil off rate: close to slow mode (Predicted level: 28.9%)
1321 Start 30 min 0V HV s/c long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=0uA ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms.
1328 Begin transfer procedure. Tower =33.0 mK. Will at least be able to see how noise changes as base temp fluctuates during transfer.
1331 Start LHe transfer (MB = 27.6%)
1416 End LHe transfer (MB = 91.3%)
1423 Tower = 32.9 mK and reasonably flat
1423 Start 30 min 0V HV s/c long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=0uA ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms. PBs rail at event 150301.
1440 Fill LN2 dewar.
1453 Pre-bias to HV=65V
1455 Set QET biases to transition values.
1505 Reduce to HV= 52.00V, Vtest= 4.2 mV → Vtrue= 50.3 V
1511 Reduce to HV= 51.65V, Vtest= 4.49 mV → Vtrue= 49.85 V
1514 Start 30 min 50V HV transition long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=30 column in table ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms.
1545 Looks like mhttp may have crashed, but dumps are still coming in to midasraw with good data. Let's let it finish the half hour before trying to recover the web interface.
1553 Use ./start_daq_umn.sh to recover the web interface.
1556 HV= 51.65V, Vtest= 4.01 mV → Vtrue= 50.0 V [image not archived: cool.svg]
1601 Start 30 min 50V HV superconducting long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=0 uA ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms.
1630 Notice some weird glitch events in this superconducting data. e.g. 7170525_1601 Event 20002. A square-ish pulse is seen on one DCRC, some channels positive-going, others negative, and nothing on the other. What the heck is that? Anthony may have mentioned seeing something like this before.
1640 Set QET biases=300uA. Although all channels are well out of transition, we are still seeing what look like occasional pulses in all channels. Perhaps there are regions of the TES array which still aren't quite S/C at this bias? A quick look at 500uA bias reveals similar behavior…
1644 Start 30 min 50V HV normal long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=+/- 300 uA ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms.
1648 HV= 51.65V, Vtest= 4.58 mV → Vtrue= 49.8 V, Tower=32.9 mK
1719 Prebias HV=90V
1720 Set QET biases
1732 HV= 78.9V, Vtest= 9.09 mV → Vtrue= 75.26 V
1735 HV= 78.6V, Vtest= 8.7 mV → Vtrue= 75.1 V
1735 Start 30 min 75V HV transition long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=30 column in table ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms.
1750 The cold trap is still frosty from the last fill, so I am not going to bother topping it off.
1810 Start 30 min 75V HV superconducting long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=0 uA ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms.
1811 HV= 78.6V, Vtest= 8.45mV → Vtrue= 75.2V
1815 HV= 78.4V, Vtest= 8.38mV → Vtrue= 75.0V [image not archived: cool.svg]
1842 Set HV=0 V
1846 Tower = 32.8 mK
1850 Start 30 min 0V HV s/c long trace random data set with 26.2144ms trace length, Frontend Gain = (15/15/4)/(5/4/4), OG = 4/2, QET biases=0uA ,20Hz in-run randoms with no starting/ending randoms.
1924 Begin 1 hour bake.
