Previous Day

Setup: DIB1/3/4 → 3.2 MHz filters → cables 1,2,3 → HV board inputs 1,3,2 → HV board outputs 1,2 → DCRC55(1)/50(3)
Background data at 100V with external NaI trigger going overnight
Mysterious spikes in tower temperature occurred this morning, peaks ranging from 100 to 120 mK. They occurred at 5:52, 5:53, 5:54, 6:02, 6:56, 7:05, 7:10, and 7:13. This is the first time we left it biased at 100V overnight. Is there some sort of breakdown?
0720 Main bath = 37.7%
0720 Current data series has been going for 716 minutes. Stop data.
0720 HV = 100.0 V, Vtest = 12.2 mV
0725 Dial HV down to 0 V, then flash detector for 30 s
0800 Finish detailed IbIs of the normal region of DCRC3pD. Trying to better characterize the shape of the normal region.
0805 Estimate bkg event rate, count 32 pulses in 1 second so rate is about 32 Hz
0807 Dial HV up to 115 V for prebias, will leave for 5 minutes
0810 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
0813 Dial HV down to 100 V
0815 Pulses look pretty good
0818 Start a sequence of six 1-hour series of 100V data with Frontend Gain = 5, OG = 2, DCRC3pB intentionally railed, with 1000 beginning randoms, with no flashing in between series, and a 20ADC bin threshold trigger on DCRC3 pC.
0820 HV = 100.0 V, Vtest = 12.1 mV
0824 Trigger threshold seems higher than necessary, adjust from 20 to 18 ADC bins
0833 Trigger threshold still seems higher than necessary, adjust from 18 to 16 ADC bins
0838 Trigger threshold still seems higher than necessary, adjust from 16 to 14 ADC bins
0843 DCRC1pC is nearly railed low, adjust driver offset
0845 Trigger threshold still seems higher than necessary, adjust from 14 to 12 ADC bins
1213 Tower/MC/Coldplate = 32.9/34.5/214 mK, Still = 1.17 K / 110 μbar, G1/G2 = 191/163 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.68 K / 22 mbar. MB = 30.3%. Boil off rate: very close to slow mode.
1435 Sequence is finished. HV = 100.0 V, Vtest = 11.5 mV
1455 Finish microIbIs measurement at 100 V. Vbias values are 75-275 mV higher than yesterday afternoon at 0V
1455 Dial HV down to 0 V
1500 Flash detector for 30 s
1512 Dial HV up to 115 V for prebiasing
1519 Dial HV down to 100 V
1520 Pulses look pretty good. HV = 100.0 V, Vtest = 10.6 mV
1625 Fill LN2 cold trap bath
1954 Start a sequence of twenty 1-hour series of 100V data with Frontend Gain = 5, OG = 2, DCRC3pB intentionally railed, with 1000 beginning randoms, with no flashing in between series, and a 12ADC bin threshold trigger on DCRC3 pC.
