Previous Day

Status: fridge at room temperature, cryostat Dewar is down, IVC is entirely removed is sealed up for leak test with no cans inside. Pumping on still with turbo pump, attached at top of fridge.
Mixture is in dump and 3He pump, manual dump valves are closed.
1635 Brutus is alive and active, with no floating issues. Fridge lines pressure currently at 5.4e-6 mbar.
1718 Tighten screws on top IVC flange. Close gate valve and speedivalve leading from turbo pump to gate valve. Connect turbo/scroll pump apparatus to IVC and pump out line leading to IVC with scroll pump. Open valve to IVC and see that there is ~4 mbar in the IVC (not sure if that is important). Pump out IVC with scroll pump. Flush with N2 gas in preparation for opening. Once enough N2 gas has been added to set off the IVC check valve, isolate the IVC, turn off the gas and switch back to pumping on the Still side of the fridge lines with the turbo pump (first usign the scroll pump to pump out the line leading up to fridge, of course). Fridge lines pressure is at 3.4e-5 mbar.
1748 Remove bottom of IVC can. Once screws were removed it simply fell off (no additional force required), and the indium fell off in one solid circle.
1753 Retighten mixing chamber screws.
1803 Tape up the bottom of the IVC for over the weekend. Leave turbo pump pumping on fridge lines through Still side. Current pumping pressure at 8.6e-6mbar.
