| Overnight: pumping IVC, both sides, with turbo pump | |
| 0900 | IVC pumping pressure = 25 E-6mbar. Valve out pump, wait 5 min, IVC pressure = 1.2 E-3 mbar. |
| IVC pressure somewhat higher than in Run 55, for whatever reason | |
| 1300 | Turn on He4 Rotary Pump and pump out Main Bath. Leak checker is on and reads a background leak rate in the IVC of 5.4E-9 mbarL/s. Main bath has pumped below .5mbar. Flush with He gas. |
| 1322 | Conduct leak check while flushing the main bath with He. Leak rate started at 5.2E-9 mbarL/s and ended at 6.0E-9 mbarL/s, suggesting no serious leak. |
| 1325 | Pump out 1K Pot. Leak checker has since risen to 7.4E-9 mbarL/s before decreasing. No serious leak. Switch back to turbopumping IVC briefly before adding He exchange gas. |
| 1335 | Pump out line to He exchange gas. IVC pressure with turbo pump at 4.0E-5 mbar. Isolate turbo pump, and IVC pressure rises to 5.4E-4 mbar. Add 5.4 mbar He exchange gas to IVC. |
| 1342 | Commence LN2 transfer. |
| 1345 | MC (Cernox) = 298 K |
| 1405 | MC = 290 K |
| 1430 | MC = 260 K, IVC = 3.4 mbar |
| Soudan iT4 disassembly | |
|---|---|
| 1440 | Removed detector stack from tower. Left the crown and bottom lid on the detector stack and kept the detectors together in the stack; so new tower has a spool but no crown. Stored tower and stack in purge cabinet. |
| 1455 | MC = 220 K, IVC = 3.0 mbar, level thermometer = 1.040 kΩ |
|---|---|
| 1525 | MC = 180 K, IVC = 2.2 mbar, level thermometer = 1.096 kΩ |
| 1545 | MC = 150 K, IVC = 2.2 mbar, level thermometer = 1.169 kΩ |
| 1625 | MC/Sorb = 115/170 K, IVC = 1.9 mbar, level thermometer = 1.261 kΩ |
| 1700 | MC/Sorb = 100/140 K, IVC = 1.6 mbar, level thermometer = 1.290 kΩ |
| 1700 | MC/Sorb = 95/130 K, IVC = 1.6 mbar, level thermometer = 1.301 kΩ |
| 1840 | Cease LN2 transfer. MC/Sorb = 81/121 K. IVC = 1.4 mbar. Level thermometer = 1.32 kΩ. Close enough. Detach hose, place ping pong ball at He recover port, and place bung on LN2 transfer tube. Main Bath isolated. Refill LN2 dewar in case we need it over the weekend. |
| 2000 | MC/Sorb = 78/124 K. |
