Previous Day

Status: Bath close to empty. He exchange gas in IVC.
0845 MC (Cernox) = 220 K, Sorb = 249.9 K and flat (max I guess), still some overpressure in bath so I guess there's a little LHe still in there
MC rising at about 1.4 K per hour
0850 IVC ~ 100 mbar, read on the mechanical gauge on the He fill line.
0855 G1 is still at 163 mbar from Friday. Open V1 to measure LHe Cold Trap contents. G1 rises to 197 mbar.
0905 Pump out LHe Cold Trap contents with 4He pump through V2, V7, V2a, V5a, valve at pump. Pump down to about 0.5 mbar on G1.
0925 Open Condenser and Still to GHS to see if there's any contamination in fridge:
V1 and Condenser valves open: G1 increases from 1.9 to 2.2 mbar.
Still gate valve open: P1 increases from 1.9 to 2.2 mbar.
0930 Pump out fridge contents with 4He pump through Condenser speedivalve, Still gate valve, V1, V2, V3, V7, V2a, V5a.
Open V9 to monitor dump pressure, just to make sure we aren't pumping out mixture.
1035 Fridge pumped down to 1.6 mbar on G1, 0.19 mbar on P1. Stop pumping on fridge, close all valves, turn off pump.
1200 Decrease resistance range on Lakeshore Bridge. Temperature reading “spikes” briefly as it readjusts to more decimal places, but returns back to ~225K and rising.
1650 MC Temperature at 229K. Commence lowering the dewar by attaching support cables, and removing screws. Turn off He recovery valves (and main recovery valve), release remaining pressure from Main Bath by removing bung and then recovery line from Main Bath. Lower dewar and place bag over IVC. Turn on fan and place fan over top of Main Bath.
