2015/09/10 (Thursday)

previous day

Current setup: iZIP mode, DIB1/2/3 → cables → 3.2 MHz filters → DCRC55/33/50.
Overnight Cf-source data taking with flashing between. Last flash at 00:25 last night
0950 Pulses still look OK except DIB1 pB has an unexplained 80 Hz pattern.
0950 Remove Cf source from position at the top of the shield.
DIB1→DCRC55
1010 Tower/MC(H35)/MC sensor/Cold Plate = 31.0/25.3/43/158 mK, Still = 1.38 K / 0.085 mbar, G1/G2 = 155 mbar, 1K Pot = 1.72 K / 22 mbar, Main bath = 63.1%.
1015 Power cycle DCRC55 because of pB 80Hz noise.
1028 Channels on DIB1 set up, and no sign of 80Hz noise. Wait and see how long it takes to come back.
1100 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
1110 Still no 80Hz noise. Mini bake detector and see if it comes back after that.
1155 Still no 80Hz noise. Take background data, test for bad channel: Start DAQDAQ2 in same configuration as yesterday, except only 1 cycle of -/+2V and -/+4V, and OR trigger now includes DCRC55 pB again.
Through randoms, and no sign of 80Hz noise.
Notice that timing link is not set up, so we are able to compare it with the potentially unsynchronized data from Tuesday to verify whether that may have been the cause.
1158 Establish timing link.
1440 After data series finished, still no 80Hz noise.
1505 Take background data, test for bad channel: Start another run of DAQDAQ2 with same DCRC settings as before. Run details: 5min series of -/+2V then -/+4V data with 6sec of flashing and 15min cooldown in between.
1530 Unexpected error after 2nd series. It appears some issue with triggering, so -/+4V series may have been cut short. After hitting “continue” MultiDAQ proceeded to flash.
1545 Still no 80Hz noise even after more data taking.
1733 Fill LN2 cold trap full.
1810 After fridge cooled after some MIDAS tests, attempt to take overnight background data. The channels are all railed and some won't un-rail even with changing the offsets. Confused. Unpower boards overnight.
