Temperature of 1 K pot has risen to 1.72 K, which is warm enough for mixture condensation procedure.
Pressure of mixture in dump 716 mbar. Mixing chamber temperature 7.9 K. Open gate valve and condenser line speedivalve. Start condensing mixture manually though nitrogen cold trap 1.
Fed Cricket 3 pellets.
Leave 364 mbar of mixture in dump: around 352 mbar of mixture in fridge.
Fully open valve V12A on IGH and cease mixture condensation procedure. Mixing chamber temperature 7.1 K and falling, 1 K pot temperature 1.71 K. Leave mixture to condense overnight.
Fill N2 cold trap full.
Mixing chamber in thermal equilibrium with 1 K pot; temperature 1.71 K. Start automated circulation procedure.
Fill N2 cold trap full.
Fed Cricket 4 pellets.
Valve V6 on IGH fully open (took about 5 minutes from starting automated circulation procedure). Stop automated circulation procedure. Mixing chamber temperature 74.3 mK and cooling slowly.
Cooling of mixing chamber temperature appears to have stalled at around 74 mK. Reduce temperature of 1 K pot from 1.70 K to 1.59 K in an effort to help things along. Rewarded by sudden spurt in cooling until mixing chamber reached 69.3 mK. Appears to still be cooling, albeit at a slower pace. Shall continue to monitor the situation.
Mixing chamber temperature has increased to 70.6 mK and appears to be continuing in an upward direction. Stay on course for now: we require a mixing chamber temperature of <65 mK.
Mixing chamber temperature appears to be holding relatively stabily at 71.9 mK.
Mixing chamber temperature fluctuates between 71.9 mK and 72.3 mK.
Commence helium transfer. Helium liquid level 34.9%.
According to Tc measurements from Run 34, A3 has the lowest Tc at 69.1 mK. However, A3 fails continuity checks, so this is irrelevant for our current run. The next lowest Tc is D2 at 72.7 mK. D2 is an outer channel on Side 1 that we could potentially do without, although this would be far from ideal as we have already lost 3 channels. The next lowest is C3 at 74.1 mK, which is an important channel on Side 1. We may be cold enough to see pulses from this channel, but we are terribly close. From this, I would conclude that we need to get down to at least 64 mK to give us some breathing room. We can either add mixture or extract He-3: we do not know enough to decide what would be better to attempt.
Cease helium transfer. Helium liquid level 54.3%.
Hook up DCRC33 (DIB 1) & DCRC32 (DIB 2). Start flashing detector with both LEDs on both DIBs using usual settings: current -0.6 mA; flash-on time 100 μs; flash-off time 5 ms.
Fill N2 cold trap full.
Fed Cricket 3 pellets.
